Bump. Some feedback here.
I think your idea is great, I'm kinda new here, but I think the server lacks some "international" smuggling faction. If I'm wrong, please correct me.
In fact, smuggling is also my job, that's why I'd like to know if you somehow made progress in making your unofficial faction. I may or may not join you, but I'd surely be one of your contacts/allies/event colleagues/and whatnots.

There is the Junkers, but they have a different .."flavor"?.... than what I am proposing. I'm not really pushing this idea so much as I am explaining it, beacuse dammit, i'm using it!
But anyways, yeah.

I imagined F~C not so much as a faction per se, (with all that big I AM F~C BOW BEFORE ME I HAVE FACTION RIGHTS OLOLOL), but more as a background association for characters.
Sort of like a union, ya know? Like how union machinists pay dues to the IAMAW, and do all the union stuff, but they still have an actual, ya know, job as a machinist someplace. the IAMAW doesnt run what they do as a machinist, just ...does......well, union stuff.
I'm not being very coherent.
I blame dry gin.

I'm actually pulling off my own stuff right now, same as what you did, by using my character as a base for a clan/faction/unofficial stuff.
Thing is, mine would not be corsair-based, more likely the opposite. Which bothers me cause I like how you think. I feel confused right now:D

Really thats only in there beacuse of the characters bearing the F~C brand right now, two are Corsair-leaning iffs, and one is a Corsair affiliate. Yeah.
EDIT: ooo better analogy.
When I say Corsair originated, I mean like .....the Russian Mob in America.
Yeah, most are actually russian immigrants, or second generation, but they are also Americans, and some aren't Russian at all. Just beacuse it is the Russian Mob doesnt mean its all "For Mother Russia!" .
They just want money, and national pride be damned.

And if not, how would you secure safe trades in the Omicrons and Omegas (and even in Houses ZOI), without allied insiders ?
I was thinking, such a syndicate would require one ally per region (and possibly allies who don't hate each other). That's what I'd create.

Well, I dont mean perfectly neutral, just neutral as a whole.
Obviously any police or BH thats find us smuggling is going to be a bit ticked at the individual, but overall, not actually engaged in a space war with any faction. err. Atually let me think on that.
EDIT:Above I have thought on relations and decided a few things. It is by no means complete.

I think it's good. I don't understand why I'm the only guy around here giving you some feedback BTW.
I'm gonna post my own stuff tomorrow though, I'll be glad if you reply on it. Maybe we can become partners and/or allies, if we don't happen to work together.
