Because that base looks awful.
The starscapes and effects are nice, and I heard that effort is being put in to make this type of stuff.

Hmm maybe that base is awful unlike the Starscapes but the point is disco is too like vanilla. With so much effort going into ship design everything else stays the Same. Disco should look at the VOID and 24/7 Swat Crossfire MODS, much inspiration is to be found there.

There is one Reason: We lack of Developers. Developers that don't begin to Model Ships.
We need Developers that can work on Starspheres, I'd like to do that if I knew how. I can create Starbackgrounds in Photoshop, and I might try again this Weekend.

lol VOID was once the top FL server with upto 200 players, when disco was still coming up. So what are you talking about ahmmm :S
@ Schlurbi starspheres are easy they are just a picture of Stars/Galaxies pasted onto an Invisible Sphere Mesh that ingame has a radius of about 1000k.

It looks like I'm going to dock the fighter from Final Fantasy 8 with a version of Deep Space Nine which is textured from floor tiles taken from Duke Nukem 3d.
