Some RP questions... - Logos - 09-23-2007 ok... I have Liberty Battlecruiser and Mercenary ID so my questions are: Can i be hired by unlawful forces, lets say Corsairs to fight against Outcasts? Or by some pirats to fight against Lawful forces? Is it within RP or not? Some RP questions... - Razr - 09-23-2007 As a merc really your loyalty (not a good word) is to the one waving the credits doesn't matter who it is. But on Merc licence says that its owner cant openly join unlawfull forces. And what does it mean by "openly"? Some RP questions... - Treewyrm - 09-23-2007 Meaning you can't join unlawful factions. But that doesn't mean that you can't work for them, as a mercenary you can. Mercenary is a person for hire, doesn't matter who pays - it's a job that needs to be done. Some RP questions... - Eppy - 09-23-2007 It means you can't fly in with a Corsair armada and blow things up as their flagship. If a corsair hires you for a stand-alone hit, you can do whatever you want, as long as nobody knows it's a corsair. The idea of a Liberty Battlecruiser flying out of navy control is a bit odd, but I shouldn't talk, since every one of my ships is pretty well borderline illegal. :$ What's the RP story for it? How did it end up where it is? Some RP questions... - Doom - 09-23-2007 technically...albatross would be better choice... i doubt that liberty navy would sell a lib Bcruiser to potentially hostile subject... But if u RP that somehow u got it as reward and stay away from attacking liberty...it might work Some RP questions... - Logos - 09-23-2007 ' Wrote:It means you can't fly in with a Corsair armada and blow things up as their flagship. K, getting a single battlecruiser and then flying it as a merc, no prob. But what if the ship is destroyed at some point? Personnel can reach escape pods and such but how do you intend to roleplay the acquisition of another battlecruiser as your previous one will likely have attracted attention and consequently ruined your reputation in Liberty, making it much more difficult to secure your next one. Are we to see a consistent string of thefts of a Liberty Battlecruiser for everytime the ship is destroyed? Something to think about... This thought also has me thinking for hostile ships obtained through nicely and granted very well written stories. What happens when that ship is destroyed? In those instances a replacement ship isn't easily available, the re-aquisition also becomes harder as the size of the ship increases (very easy to steal a fighter compared to a battleship). Anyways something to ponder. Some RP questions... - Logos - 09-23-2007 ' Wrote:Couple of thoughts... When im destroyed i send repair ships to collect debris and put ship back together:) Some RP questions... - Logos - 09-23-2007 My story has been updated just for you, Firebird. |
