Ship Classes - crateria - 09-24-2007 Now before any1 bites my head off I am certain that this has been explained (Maybe more than once) But I have checked, checked again, and again and have not found any Info... So heres the problem; How are these ships classed? I know that some of them have this info in there ships description.. But some don't. Here is a quote from the Xeno ID: "They are not allowed to use capital ships, super heavy fighters, transports, and liners." But... I have seen these guys with Bombers, Talons, Vipers.. The list goes on.. So, how are these ships classed? The last thing I wanna do is buy "the wrong ship" So... :wacko:Confused :nyam: Ship Classes - Smiley_ - 09-24-2007 It seems that you are confused with the "Super Heavy Fighter" classification. There are only two that fall into this category. The kiith Somtaaw SHF and the spatial. Xenos can use Light Fighters, Heavy and Very heavy fighters. They can also use freighters. I think bombers are allowed too. Ship Classes - sushi - 09-24-2007 So the Spatial, which I use as a freighter, is actually a Super Heavy Fighter when I thought that it was technically a Very Heavy Fighter? Huh.:) Ship Classes - crateria - 09-24-2007 :wacko: Hehe, what a world we live in. Ship Classes - Jinx - 09-24-2007 the spatial is a super heavy fighter? - i think i stood next to one in my behemoth the other day and it was larger than my 2500 cargo transport. i always thought its some freighter thing like the repair ship or the asteroid miner - well some sort of utility ship oddity for players that like to fly around with rare stuff. i ve never seen that kiith somtav or what was its name? - i think i had one on the sensors in delta on my juggernaut, but next to the juggernaut everything is just a dot in the sky. so no idea how it looks like. Ship Classes - Dopamino - 09-24-2007 i'm pretty sure the spatial is a freighter, not shf Ship Classes - Smiley_ - 09-24-2007 If it is a freighter, then it has low cargo for one considering the price. It also has a fighter shield. It is technically a "deep space exploration ship", but that isn't covered in the ID descriptions. Really, SHF is the category that seems to fit it best, but that might just be my opinion. Ship Classes - Unseelie - 09-24-2007 forgot marsflyer....the SHF of cheapness. Ship Classes - Smiley_ - 09-24-2007 The marsflier isn't an SHF, it's more a potato chip of moderate destruction. Really, that thing falls into no categories. It might be used as a "strange encounter" for RP events, but really why else would it be flown. Ship Classes - Jinx - 09-25-2007 its stylish - much nicer than a grey box with thrusters ( like so many of the homeworld designs ) - if it wasn t for the sound that drives me mad, i d love to use it as a "yacht" and explore vessel. |
