Royal Canadian Guard - Aubinator - 05-18-2010 After some reading and even after being pulled aside by an admin... I have one question: Does anybody have an issue with me renaming my character to [RCG]Winnipeg in honour of the late and well expired Royal Canadian Guard I tried putting together YEARS ago... This would be an "unofficial" faction, but when the money comes, I would put in the official request thread. 500mil creds is not easy to come by when you've been innactive for almost 5 years! I can RP the faction until then... or just keep it silent... whatever you prefer...\ I don't want to keep spending 2mil creds to change my name so I'm asking before I do it again and it becoming a problem  I anxiously await a response. Cheers! -Aubinator Royal Canadian Guard - sovereign - 05-18-2010 First, wrong place. While you're still unofficial, use the forum containing this subforum, this one is for prepared and ready requests. <shameless plug> Such as mine here. </shameless plug> Second... it's been awhile. A lot has changed. I read the original thread just last week as luck would have it, and... remember when I said "a lot has changed"? Understatement of the year. There's no issue with you using a tag that doesn't have a faction behind it... except... You should read this. RL countries no longer exist. "Canadian" no longer makes sense. There are systems named after pieces of Old Earth Canada, but "Canada" no longer exists. A ship called the LNS-Winnipeg would be acceptable, but a ship called the RCG-<anything> would not as the acronym stands right now. Canadian themed and inspired? Totally fine. However, Canada no longer exists. It was destroyed along with the rest of Sol. |
