Another train type. - ViK-96 - 05-22-2010 You see that the 'bridge' is always on the front of the ship on the train shipline, the Heron, Crane, Stork... But you dont see a civilian transport with a 'bridge' or whatever it is called, behind it like with the Pirate Train. I would like to see this, with cargo pods like the civilian trains use. What im asking for, is a 'civilian' pirate transport. So this is it; Moderate Cargo / 2500 Light Armor / 40k Class 10 Shield / Yeah  4x Turrets / To shoot down starfliers 0x CD / No pirating in this thing. 1x CM / Duh! Price: 20-30m ish So in design, its a pirate transport with new textures and added 'civilian' features. And BWT has a bridge at the rear of the ship... I'm sure some other transports do too. Another train type. - Korolia - 05-23-2010 Very few. Like, container transport, for instance. The truth is, a bridge behind seems, in practice, a not so bright idea that reduces visibility but with no real advantage, unlike fighter cockpits, where put in front, have greater visibility but larger exposure to fire, while put in the rear, offers lesser visibility but also lesser exposure. A bridge of a large vessel, no matter where it is, is always well exposed to fire, so might as well put it in front. DOH! Another train type. - Bass_masta992 - 05-23-2010 Amen on the Class 10 shield. Maybe we could use a new civvie transport like that. Not everyone can use the mammoth. Another train type. - Bobthemanofsteel - 05-23-2010 Pirate Train is not a train. It doesn't act in the slightest like a train, and should on all accounts and purposes be renamed to something else. Trains are the ships that have front mounted engines, Like the Crane line, Ryuujin, Shetland, Colossus. A train with a front mounted engine can still have a bridge at the rear end of the it. It's rather dangerous to sit on a highly volatile fusion reactor. It just has engines in the back instead. Another train type. - Korolia - 05-24-2010 well, in FL, trains seems able to pull "wagon" containers. Which the pirate "train" seems unable to do. |
