I saw how KNF forces were being butchered by waves of GRN Valors at the Tau - 31 gate. We kept spamming battleships which were no match for the Valors. After a while, I decided to use another tactic, shared it with the KNF. We had a lot of dessies this time round, like 5. KNF dessies in my opinion are really overpowered, their practically 1/3rd the size of an Obstinate, and better manoeuvrability (both of which gives them an immense advantage in a battlespace filled with asteroids due to cover and not colliding with asteroids) and have access to Light Mortars.
Some bombers went up ahead to Orkney and reported 3 valors and several other cruisers, so I devised a plan in which all of the bombers and battleships were to remain and lure the Valors into the Tau 31 gate construction site, while all the dessies flew 20K away from the site. At the moment the enemy begun their attack, all of the dessies would cruise back to the gate construction site and flank the enemy from behind. it looked promising.
Unfortunately, the Battleships began to move forward while the enemy was still preparing for the attack. My destroyer wing was ordered to follow the battleships as well, and then we got ambushed by several other Valors and Obstinates and were heavily outgunned. We basically fell into THEIR trap...
Anyways, what tactics did you guys use while fighting your battles in the event?

GRN bomber swarm worked good. But solaris dessie spam was to much.
Everyone is taking Kusari side as their ships are overpowered, I mean gunboat is size of my grn bomber :wacko:
But we busted a whole bunch of dessies.

When I first used my GRN GB. I killed 6 bombers. But when the dessies found out I was out in a second ^^
Most flew my fighter chasing down bombers and doing some 1vs1 pvp with several fighters. If you ask me the lynx feels smooth and light.
I also was helping in my bomber when we as GRN were bomberspamming. Took out a lot of dessies with some bomber buddies.

1. Join the Server
2. Respawn as a Battleship
3. Get annoyed while trying to move it through an asteroid field
4. Get More annoyed trying to move it through a warp gate
5. Delete Character
6. Respawn as Bomber
7. Destroy Battleships until fed of it ^^

Hiding a Dessie in the T23->31 Jumpgate at the construction site works surprisingly well, I was mortarsniping for half an hour until some Battleship removed me by entering the Gate from behind :laugh:

The GRN and KNF forces were balanced well.
Then the GRN spammed Valors.
So the KNF spammed dessies.
Then the GRN spammed bombers.
So the KNF spammed dessies and fighters.
Rinse and repeat.

I just remembered another interesting tactic used earlier today by the KNF.
This afternoon, I went in my bomber for the KNF (KN-77-Isahari). There was a massive fight in Tau 23, Valors kept spamming and we had to hold the line. Eventually we spammed enough of our battleships to fighter our way back to the Orkney JH in 23. At that moment, I knew that if another Valor came in, we'd be stuck there, and its not a good place for a battleship to be stuck in the middle of a asteroid field, so I pretty yelled all the battleships to jump immidietly, and I jumped as well.
One battleship jumped only while the rest stayed back. There were around 3 valors. Along with the battleship, 2 bombers (including myself) and 2 dessies jumped as well. The battleship went down after taking down two Valors (with help from the bombers and dessies). Another one of our battleships jumped in and managed to take down one valor, although at this time there were around 4 and they were respawning really fast.
After the second battleship went down, the two bombers including myself and the two dessies took down at least another 3, perhaps 4 valors which kept respawning whilst under constant fire. Was an impressive sight to see, made me feel damn elite :)
Dunno how that tactic worked out for the majority of KNF in 23, but I'm sure we managed to hold down a massive Valor spam coming their way.
