I believe that if a faction would like to give away it's technology, or has an arrangement with a player to steal a ship, they should let them rather than having them taking the long, unsure processus of SRPs.

A couple of months' RP delayed several months, with both parties unsure if their effort will be in vain or not, all because of SRPs? Not by experience mind you, but I could see it happening, and I believe I have been around when it *has* happened.
I think FR6 is an excellent idea, so long that it's done within reason.
@StrikeTheory, make a new topic in General Discussions about the validity of Internet polls. This topic is for discussing FR6 + SRPs.

I voted "other", and have some comments.
I really dont know people attach so much importance to the type of guns. I understand neither why there have to be so many different types, nor why the rules about owning them are so strict, nor why people insist so much that they MUST have a gun through SRP.
Apart from the Order, who has really horrible useless hullbuster guns (no reason what so ever to keep those over codename guns because of speed), most factions guns aint that bad.
And the civi guns debilitator and flashpoint aint that bad either, and missiles are civi too. Few weeks ago someone laughed at my 2 debs 1 cannonball 3 flaspoint setup up and told me how he laughs at my useless noob setup. After I was through with him and his friend, he started crying about how unfair my setup up was and how he had no chance to begin with.
Whatever...
This whole gun issue is really silly and useless and a huge PItA.
Just make a few gun types that have some variety in speed and strength, ditch all the faction gun nonsense, and make guns free for all. Different designs of faction ships give a RP atmosphere, different types of faction guns are just annoying.

Oh, Guns wise, I think they could be lifted from the tech chart completely.
Guns are alot easier to come by than entire working ships, no matter your means.

She's saying to make ALL red cells become white cells and let factions handle "SRP" things themselves. I see it as an OK idea, but I'm sure there's more to consider. Favoritism comes to mind, but there's favoritism in everything.
