So what if one let's say have Corsair ID and Freelancer IFF
Or he has Pirate ID and Corsair IFF

Would that mean that he is/was an corsair and he decided to go on his own, and he can operate outside of sair ZoI
Or just that he decided to work alone for himself (but you can actually roleplay that with proper corsair IFF and ID)

And is this kind of combination allowed ?

EDIT: This doesn't include using the tech, just want to know inRP and is it against the rules, especially P ID and Sair IFF, first combination doesn't make much sense

It could mean said player is of Corsair (Hispanic) origins.

It could also mean said player is affiliated with the Corsairs (loosely affilitated/working/worked for, allied or exiled)

Using a Corsair IFF means that the character has chosen to be identified the same way as the Corsairs.

A Freelancer's IFF can reflect his/her most friendly faction or faction of his/her choice.

Umm..I also thought of Liberty rogues IFF ( as they are some kind of unorganized bunch of pirates) along with pirate ID, as that would show more independence as an rogue who went to seek his own fortune around the sirius.

I just want to know that oorp I am not breaking any rules, I am aware of things that can happen inRP if I act against allies or such.

Actually, with the pirate ID, it's kinda encouraged to use the IFF of the faction you work most closely with. The freelancer tag on a pirate id works for thsoe who are truly independant pirates, rather than those who retain their autonomy yet choose to work closely with x faction.

Also, it's best if your equipment origins match your IFF too.

Freelancer IFF with Pirate ID combinations are frowned upon.

Umm well rule wise Pirate ID would have to get permission from said faction, unless IFF over rules ID in this cases, but as I stated it would be used to go outside ZoI of said group. So I don't believe is permitted unless approved by faction

Well, Pirate ID + Corsair IFF works pretty fine.
I don't think you'll need to work hard to get equipment.
However don't forget, in Liberty the only good people for you will be Liberty Rogues and Junkers. Everyone else will shoot you, exluding some rare Zoners, IMG and the Order. I wish I could also exlude Ageira, Interspace, OS&C, Cryer, LSF... meh.

I used to have such a Char, he had Pirate ID and Lane Hacker IFF.
Although many just looked at the IFF and said "Wait, a Lane Hacker in Omega-5?" those who actually noticed Pirate ID and Hacker IFF, would get a general idea of my Char's RP, so would react accordingly. (One of them even asked me to fix his Comm Uplink so he'd pay me twice the price I had demanded D:)

So, Yes. Pirate ID with Corsair IFF makes perfect sense and can bring some nice RP with it if you use it right.

(Sair ID, FL IFF on the other hand... Doesn't really make sense)
