Its a somewhat old game, they released the source for it quite a while ago (too bad they didnt do the same for freelancer huh...)
Its like a RTS, FPS, and MMO all mixed together into one game.

i actually got the game installed right now
i like to think of it as the battlefield of space sim's, you need to mine get your teams cash together and buy your ship then you need to try and capture each system's main bases and whoever get's total domination win's
in a nutshell
the game was pretty nice only thing that brings it down is it run's off msn gaming engine the very same engine that run's the gawd awful games you can play with your buddy's over msn.
