another yacht - JIVA - 07-30-2010

some time ago - cannon asked me to look into some of the redundant models ( venator, thor mk2, battlestar 2... )

they only take up space and don t really add anything.

i haven t had any reasonable idea for the thor mk2 or the battlestar ( mostly cause the battlestar is also a base - and so the model would need to be wreck like or a base or something )

but this ship may be a replace for the venator ( yes, all the star wars lovers will probably cry now ) - the venator is totally useless in the mod - its only good for a laugh every now and then, when an admin takes it out for a spin and mounts like 20 heavy mortars for a "show-off" lightshow.. ( pointless - as i said )

now - this yacht is based on the public yacht - and might be SRP or something... a prestigous ship for RP purpose only ( cause it rather weak in a pvp like the current yacht )

its smoother than the current yacht - features a more visible pool and an observation lounge in the front ( the long blue glassdome )

like the yacht - it also resembles features found on other ships of its size ( like the gaian GB ) however - the gaian GB is to this yacht like a beach buggy to a ferrari. - the ornamental lining is supposed to give it a rich and exclusive appearence. - something that says "money!!!" ( with three questionmarks )

this is just an offer - since ships like the venator are not serving any purpose atm.

edit: - on second thought.... lets make it a gaian gunboat mk2 =D ... every gaian wants a pool on a gunboat !

The lines on this model are so sexy, Gaian influence is definitely there.
Overall i like the model and would like to see it in game, only thing i don't
agree with is SRP. Let the masses have choice without being dependent on
the admins mood swings of opening and closing SRP at will.

another yacht - JIVA - 07-30-2010

well - doesn t need to be SRP i guess... the pricetag on the yacht works quite well, too. ( at least i never saw a significant number of them around )

edit: just to compare it with the normal yacht:laugh:

It's awesome Jinx, really top notch, love the textures and the form. Screams wealth.

another yacht - Akura - 07-30-2010

Yeah, it actually looks Luxury. Where the current Yacht looks.... lame.

:O

NICE, that looks sooo luxurious as it supposed to I guess.

Compared with the one you made.

I think you notice a difference ^^

another yacht - Jinx - 07-30-2010

well - the old yacht has some very classic lines - ( i really like the old yacht ) - and i wish it to remain - its like a luxory ship from the 1960s ( which means its classic, but still luxoriuos ) ...

the new one is flashy, its not really "matured" wealth - but may become it in time. - leaves the question if the admins are willing to let the venator go - so we safe some bytes and gain another ship.

Jinx..., those designs...

Seriously, this is on of the reasons my work looks sometime similar to Jinx's. My ideas, not all, but some of them are from his. Jinx, Im you're biggest fan at this moment.

I like it. Add it in addition to the old Democritus, though. The Democritus has its charme (probably mostly nostalgia, but still), this one is of different style, but hits the looks of a yacht pretty darn well.
