Advice for starting a researcher - msgerbs - 08-18-2010
For a few months now I've been toying with the idea of making a researcher to tool around with. The problem is, I have absolutely 0 ability when it comes to repping. My understanding is that I would want at least neutral with order and junkers, and green with kusari (for kusari explorer... I'm not flying a transport around out there). Sadly, I have absolutely no idea how to achieve this.
Am I even correct in the reps a researcher needs? And how would I go about achieving said reps?

Do a /restart kusari and do a few bribes for your desired factions? For a generic researcher, I'd say you want to be at least neutral with house corporations, possibly military and police too.
Repping just takes time, not skill.

You simply bribe hostile factions which you want to be friendly with.
I don't see anything difficult with that.
There isn't a "researcher" repsheet you have to follow.

No ship is completely immune to piracy.
I've been pirated in an unarmoured Eagle which I used to set up a character before, the extortion was 2 million.
