Possible Event Discussion - Agmen of Eladesor - 09-24-2010
Since there was a bit of discussion (!) regarding the potential for this occurring...
In the interests of role-playing and being fair about it, I hereby propose that the BHG| attack and lay waste to Omega-52. If the SCRA can't defend it, that is...
Okay, that may not happen. But in keeping with the general consensus that right now there's a lot of people shooting at each other, and since we did make our secret movement orders that we'd go either attack or at least recon in force Omega-52 just to see what that pesky SCRA has going for it - and since they are allied now with the Order, so we don't need any other excuse...
Let's work this out I think probably something like in a week or so would be good, so we all have notice. And I'd also like to have the battle have some consequences. If you die, you can't fly that character anywhere for two weeks. Another other thoughts and/or suggestions for this are welcome here.

Was actually looking forward to this on the event server.
Although maybe not a good idea, since this won't be a mega large scale battle. But it does give some people the opportunity to fly SCRA ships.
When I think about...
Keep it on the normal server with the official BHG/SCRA chars. otherwise we get SCRA spam on the event server.
And the idea of 2 weeks no use of character... if you ask me 1 week is enough?
Although this idea will make people shield run instead of fighting.
But since I don't belong to either faction I really don't have anything to do with it when it's done on the normal server.
If this gets through though I wish all BHG pilots lots of luck.
May we fight and kill those SCRA's or Scout everything of them into the finest details!

Not a big fan of that actually. Having an event would be quite enjoyable between the big ships of yours and our snubby-swarms. But "laying waste" to our guard system isn't something I think we're down for. It'd be like us saying we're coming into 56 and killing alabama. What say to a boomboom in...oh...15? near Rostock? or somewhere in the Omegas (41 or 47 wouldn't be bad).
As for the consequences...I have a feeling if the Core brings their battlebarges, there's going to be an awful lot of BHG that can't fly those battlebarges for a couple weeks. not talking smack or anything, but SCRA's gotten pretty good at blowing up big ships. maybe not flying a character for a week or so would be better than two...two's a LONG time in discoland.
Since the BHG can field quite a nice balanced force, has there been thought to group compositions or such? Numbers would most definitely be on the BHG side. What about inviting our Order allies in as well? cap v cap and snub v snub in one glorious battle would be fun, but while BHG and Core have dozens of active players, SCRA I know has maybe a dozen...with TCG or Order| involved, we could probably field 15-20 players, depending on time and date.

That's the reason I'm throwing this out here. I think I recall seeing that you guys have two big cap ships in your fleets. So there would be no reason for us to bring in 6 Mako battleships. Maybe 1 of them, a couple of Bullheads, 3 or 4 Threshers of Doom, and snub craft. This was still supposed to be a surprise raid on your system, based upon the RP (and all the scrambling that was done when we launched), so that would mean you'd only have the SCRA to count on for numbers - no Order or anything.
Plus, of course, it's in YOUR guard system. That means the npc's are going to be on us like stink on ...
The term 'laying waste' was used to get your attention, which it obviously did. The reason behind my usage of it is as a reminder that role-play actions can have role-play consequences. The Coalition, despite all of your grandiose schemes and plans, is still a very small, fringe group. When you get the attention of someone that actually HAS a war fleet ... that's the only reason I used it. I have no intention or desire to do anything along the lines of what happened to FP 9 to you guys, much as it would make me happy - since the same thing could happen to us. (Not unless it was talked about and/or discussed a LOT in advance.)

At this point, I haven't heard or seen anything back from the SCRA regarding this event. It'd be a nice thing, but co-ordinating things like this aren't just done in an afternoon.
We do, however, have a movement order posted, so if you want to go ahead and do a recon of the system and make a nice post in our message dump on what you find, that'd certainly be acceptable from our perspective, and would continue in with the RP of planning for this attack.
