Please try to not bias this. Think of it from both points of view. When i say strengthen I mean strong enough so that other players will need to actually put thought into shooting them out instead of simply pointing and clicking. 2 to 3 class 9s can take them out. Perhaps they should be able to handle a tiny bit more? Come on, Trade Lanes HAVE to have come farther in 10 years since SP.

I think they could be strengthened....but they absolutely MUST be able to be taken down (after a number of seconds of shooting) by Light Fighters, otherwise allot of Lane-Hacking clans (not to mention NPCs) will have difficulties.
Perhaps it could be made that the time a trade lane remains inactive is proportional to the amount of damage it absorbs?

They are all right the way they are... Ok. sure you can take them out in fighters, and should have a specialist set of weapons or ship to take one out, but people complain about the lack of pirates causing havoc on the trade lanes. Strengthening them will only discourage people even more.

Trade lanes are fine. Your not destroying them, your simply knocking out their ability to move ships.

Sure, why not. Make it so I actually have to try to take out the trade lane, or, that I may actually have a chance to make it to the trade lane before it gets taken down.
Change is fun, and we won't know if it would suck horribly or be shining improvement unless we try it.
Or simply disregard this idea as the rantings of a lunatic. SED, not me, I am totally sane...ish.

Im not talking about making them as strong as a VHF, i mean make them a little stronger, I mean maybe twice as strong? That or power up their guns because they are kinda sad. In fact, ALL station turrets need an upgrade..
