Ok I just had my first proper fight in a Sabre and:
Inferno is one uber weapon!
Yes it eats up almost all you energy now but:
Even though I had almost zero experience with it, I was able to hit not only jousting but also dodging Vipers in about 80% of the shots while 2-3 other Vipers + GB were shooting on me... and this is after its speed got "nerfed" to 550 m/s !
I see myself as quite good Razor shooter... in jousting attacks (with strafing)I can hit more than 50% shots ... but on dodging target? Not really many hits...and that's after I have been using it for two months.
Also with the Inferno fighter could and maybe can again now (since damage got increased) kill a GB, with mini you can never kill a GB alone.

I would say that now the Inferno is just about balanced compared to Mini-Razor.. but I can just imagine how uber it was in 4.83 when it took some 3400 energy and fired at 600m/s.

So if any more Outcasts come to the Balance thread to say how useless it is on a Sabre now and that they are going to switch to Sunslayers... well they can switch to what they want but that weapon is far from useless.

Think of it this way, the mini razor does hull damage, and a decent amount of shield, all the inferno has is shield damage. The speed and damage it has is deserved, especially now if you consider the power usage. These guns were made to serve the same purpose as their capital ship counter parts. The Mini Razor is a hull killer, and the inferno is a shield killer.

I'm saying that they are balanced now .... because with the razor you don't hit so often.. so it uses less energy.. with Inferno you hit very often so it uses more energy.....
This was mostly a reply to the Outcasts screaming how bad it is for them now when they cannot use 7 Krakens + Inferno at the same time.

Bah, with 7 krakens you don't need a shield buster.
I use 5 krakens on my Blood Dragon HF, 2 of them are class 8 (because of energy economics:P)
But i still use Inferno too, for capital ships. It is a superior weapon, not useless at all.
Even against fighters, it can still be used pretty well. You just can't afford to miss:)
