Characters Back On: Odd Problem.... - nerfherder - 12-21-2007
After several Miss Trials, I finally managed to access my old account, and [IND] Scruffy, and Trader Dave was underway for a couple of hours last evening.
My system running Vista and me are going round and round. and a very interesting problem has come up.
If I do not run Freelancer Discovery Server as an Admin, the Game loads as Vanilla Intro and all, but the oddest part, is when I run 'New Game', I'm in Sigma 17, without the cloud, asteroid field, Jump holes or Jump gate. and the words "Land on Planet Toledo" pop up first thing.
I'm in the starter Starflier, and I've gone from one end of the system to the other, and can not find a jump hole. (Thought I'd try it as a Challenge)
Has anyone else had this?
Has anyone else found a way out???
The way out of this is of course to F 1, no delay there, and I leave immediately.
If i go to Multi-player, the servers come up, but if I don't have a Vanilla ship, or System, just '??????'. Not wanting to crash the server, I just back out and try again and re load the program.
If I run it as an 'Admin', Discovery comes up with the server up and no problems there.
Any one has any idea why I get the thing on 'Land On Toledo'?
