Corsair trader - Zapp - 01-01-2008 Recently, I ran into a freighter flying the Corsair colors (tag and ID). I was just curious... do I have to demand cash (which I did, to be on the safe side, but it was a lot cuz he was a Corsair) or can I just blow 'im up? All parenthesis trademark of Jello-in-a-can Inc.© Corsair trader - Equinox - 01-01-2008 As far as i can remember if a faction trader is hostile to your faction then you do not need to ask for tax. Same if a Corsair caught a Outcast trader. Corsair trader - RingoW - 01-01-2008 You could be a very bad guy. First tax, then blow him, when he has paid. That will scream for revenge and a full scale war between Corsairs and Outcasts will start. Both sides will use dirty tricks to slaughter each other. Finally my trader char can trade without being threatened. That would be nice. (Open my eyes, ah, just a dream.) Respectful AoM Corsair trader - chopper - 01-02-2008 Yup, only Trader ID-ed characters are protected. Not all Trader vessels. You can blow up any damn ship that has Corsair/Outcast ID:) And it would actually be great if both Corsairs and OC smugglers would use their ID's, instead of Trader/Smuggler ID. At least i think. Corsair trader - globalplayer-svk - 01-02-2008 when corsairs/outcast use their id for smuggling, they have big problem when they try to dock on lawfull bases.thats why is here smuggler id.how can outcast smuggle cardamine and corsairs artifacts, when they can not dock on lawfull bases? on the other side, when corsair meet ship full of cardamine he will ask to drop the cargo and outcast the same Corsair trader - Jinx - 01-02-2008 i think that players using smuggler ID or even faction colours on their traders are good examples of a good roleplay - much better than traders that don t match the char that you ll most certainly transfer the cash to. however - yes, corsair traders are basicly free to be blown up - but it depends a bit i think. if a lawful catches a corsair IDed and tragged player - that is not doing anything wrong - i don t think its "good manners" to just blow him up. ... show him the way out maybe, and make sure he leaves your territory - but blow him up might be a bit harsh. - its different for an outcast meeting a corsair though. they are at war, and blowing up a transport is even better than blowing up a fighter.... Corsair trader - globalplayer-svk - 01-02-2008 and actually i was flying under smuggler id and corsair tag,but admin say me that with this combination i can not dock un lawfull bases.so with unlawfull tag you can dock onyl on unlawfull bases and there are not much possible routes only between unlawfull bases, that have good profit Corsair trader - Jinx - 01-02-2008 thats strange - i thought it was actually the point of a smuggler ID to be a trader affiliated to an unlawful faction. i am surprised that you were denied the docking rights on lawful bases with corsair tag / smuggler ID. i think its quite a good roleplay - and a faction statement... but who knows. Corsair trader - chopper - 01-02-2008 @global - yes, but that's why there is Rochester. Cardamine isn't supposed to be brought to Manhatan by smugglers anyway. There is always an unlawful base to bring your contraband to. Anyway, that's not the problem, it was just a thought. And also, shouldn't Corsairs smuggle their artifacts to Kusari? Not to NY? I don't know the prices of Artifacts in Kusari, but it would be more RP to smuggle Artifacts there, and not in NY. Corsair trader - crateria - 01-02-2008 ' Wrote:And also, shouldn't Corsairs smuggle their artifacts to Kusari? Well actually in the Freelance SP there are artifacts being smuggled to New York and well.. Everywhere. I'm sure if the best price is somewhere like New York that would be the only logical place that they would be delivered.. |
