found a nice game while i browsed the net - Jinx - 01-07-2008 browsed the internet for fun - and found that little mod project. in case anyone remembers the very old game "total annihilation" it was a RTS focussing on mass battles, rather than small scale heroe developement ( like warcraft III ) the game "supreme commander" is the sequel i think - but well, the spring project is for free and pretty nice, too. played it a bit, but especially the AIs require some understanding of the mod that i don t have. on the good side, there are many mods out there for it - ranging from starwars to earth 2140 and gundam aswell as "real world" units. http://www.unknown-files.net/spring/home/ it still focusses on mass battles - but i find it amazing what the gaming community made out of that old game. its allmost as good as a retail game. have fun. here is a utube of it ingame: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-dN5zgKsJXQ...feature=related found a nice game while i browsed the net - galaktik - 01-07-2008 The topic of this game is here: http://discoverygc.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=3059 found a nice game while i browsed the net - LancerZero - 01-08-2008 Wow! I've had TA for years, but never bothered to go to the trouble of downloading and installing the Spring engine. Looks like I might have to do that now! =P Lots of fun, that game...I remember one of my favorite things was that they didn't have limited resources. Your production capability is only limited by your RATE of resource collection. Also, Bertha spam.:D found a nice game while i browsed the net - Turkish - 01-08-2008 As having played Spring, I must say it is terribly buggy at times. But it does bring back the memories. |
