I hate hyper realists, the kind of people who state the obvious or purposefully comment on the picture in it's frame. People who don't play along or look for something beyond reality. But then on the flip side it can help stay in touch with planet earth, knowing what's real and what's fantasy can sometimes keep things in line in the old skull.
But there's a line. Some will say when they see this picture:

Well of course it bloody is. Is that not already obvious? If that's what you see anyway then your defeating the object of the whole thing.
The difference is looking for what's not there, and blatantly stating what is.

Ah. Inkblots... the eternal quest of seeing something when there is nothing to be seen. Forcing the mind to lie to itself. Religion isn't much different.
Looking for what you have already confirmed to not exist is a fundamentally pointless activity. It's an inkblot, the only noticable thing is it's symmetry, likely due to the paper having been folded.
Truth is a perception of reality.

You are correct, but I want to know, are you able to find any similarities in shape with it in real life?
I think it looks kinda like a dead leaf. But I know completely that its just some ink splattered on paper.

I was referring to the fact that you criticise realistic people's perception of the ink on paper based on the fact that they don't automatically assume you want their opinion on abstraction.
You ask why people provide you with the obvious answer when you didn't clarify your disregard of the obvious fact when asking the original question. It's a bit silly, isn't it? How are people supposed to know that you don't want the obvious fact if you don't tell them in the first place?

Reality... a tough concept to pin down. Even if you think you've got the answers to everything all pinned down, you'll eventually run into someone else who has all the answers to everything pinned down. Only, their answers will be different than yours. Who's right and who's wrong?
The answer is simple. Everybody's right. You see, the reality you perceive isn't something that exists outside yourself. I'm not suggesting solipsism, the real reality is there, but everything you know about it comes from your own brain. Your brain receives signals from the world around you, ignores some, processes others. The ones that it processes get interpreted based on what you know and believe. This is why two different people can look at that ink blot and see different things. It's also why, politically speaking, you and the damned fools in the opposition can both believe equally in your respective causes. It's not because the other person is a fool, or being intentionally perverse. Just differing perceptions creating a different reality.
I find that understanding this helps me to get along with other people a lot better.
