Whose playing a Politician? - Tabris - 02-27-2011 Well I know Alvin's playing Governor of the Ontario. I'm the leader of the Colorado Worker's Party. Who else is playing the political game, where and who are you running as?:) Whose playing a Politician? - Hastings - 02-27-2011 Politics in Freelancer? Sounds tempting *rubs hands together* Whose playing a Politician? - Fletcher - 02-27-2011 I've always toyed with the idea, but its eventually leads to nothing as has been shown in the past. Liberty is 'meant' to be a democratic House of sorts, I remember people trying to RP that with political groups and elections. I think it crashed though since it could never change things since all the in-game RP and power is military. Politics with military is a difficult balance unless factions are willing to powershare or evolve their RP. Whose playing a Politician? - Decerebrated.Individual - 02-27-2011 Zelot's the fascist emperor of Kusari, Dab'S the emo what ever of Bretonia. Joes' the military navy leader of liberty (democracy and president is on vacation), something about something godchancelor of rhineland. Yeh. This is discovery. Whose playing a Politician? - Loken - 02-27-2011 Theoretically some of these people should move on and let someone else take over when 4.86 comes out. Zelot for example. I doubt it will happen though. Whose playing a Politician? - Zelot - 02-27-2011 ' Wrote:Theoretically some of these people should move on and let someone else take over when 4.86 comes out. That's amusing considering I have written the Kusari storyline so there is a new Emperor in 4.86, just for the reason that I think I should move on and give someone else a chance.:) But it is good to know I am loved. Maybe it's not always "government-type" politics, but there's a lot of back-and-forth discussion, working with/against with other characters, and making all sorts of deals. Basically the entire communication channel is what I'd call "politics". As for myself, well, being the head of the KSP, my job is usually to regulate and help create laws within Kusari, and to talk with other pilots and come to agreements with them about what can and cannot be done within our House. Or something like that. At least, that's what I should be doing, if I were doing anything properly. Whose playing a Politician? - Zelot - 02-27-2011 ' Wrote:What's gonna happen to him? Well, if you cant be bothered to read this thread : http://discoverygc.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=75396 I guess I will just post the directly relivent story stuff. Quote:In the beginning of 818 A.S. Kusari was building up to launch a full-scale assault on the Bretonian Derby and Leeds Planetary Fleets in an attempt to prepare the way for a ground invasion. The Emperor and Shogun traveled to Stokes Station to begin finalizing the plan in early 818 A.S. However, Bretonian raids against their supply convoys had slowed their force buildup, and when the rapid advance of Gallic fleets delayed their plans still further, the Kusari command, with the two most powerful men in Kusari trapped in Bretonia, put its offensive on hold, redirecting most of its forces towards Tau-31 where Gallia was thought to be heading. and as to what he does after that, Quote:When the new Kusari government withdrew their combat forces from the Taus, a significant force was trapped behind the Gallic lines. As their desperation grew, the Kusari remnants looked for a leader. The former Kusari Emperor, who had been trapped in Bretonia at the beginning of the Gallic war stepped to the front and took command of the KNF forces trapped in Bretonia. Under the Emperor's command, these forces, now referring to themselves as the Ronin, are small in numbers, comprising some 5 battleships, 10 Destroyers and 25 Gunboats and a handful of fighter and bomber wings. While they don't pose a serious threat to Gallic forces in Tau-31, they have a potential to become an important part of Bretonia's defense during the forthcoming war. Whose playing a Politician? - Markus_Janus - 02-27-2011 There are currently 20 people of different activity levels making up the Kusari governmental body known as the Council of the Rising Suns. All Councillors there are politicians to one extent or another. So me. |
