What is your definition of "Enjoyable Fight"? - aerelm - 03-07-2011 So I've been having this discussion with random people on server, usually after some fireworks, and it was actually interesting to see how varied the opinions are. Question of this thread is simple:
There are two rules to this thread:
What is your definition of "Enjoyable Fight"? - Markus_Janus - 03-07-2011 Any fight that is close to fair in my opinion is a good fight. I like to give a little //GF mate at the end of each and would like one back too. I don't mind if people run and hope they don't mind when I do as well, just seems a little better than a respawn. Any victory is a victory after all. Other than that the thing that contributes to a good fight for me is the attitude of both parties. One with no grudge. What is your definition of "Enjoyable Fight"? - Montezuma/Kukulcan - 03-07-2011 Well, most fights that are somewhat fair I find fun. My favourite fights, however, are the ones where I either lead, or am part of a small, well coordinated group, that ends up facing down a much larger force successfully. Whether this be a couple of Fighters against half a dozen Fighters or more, or a small mixed fleet versus a large (often very cap heady) fleet. Those are the fights that I generally have most fun in. And of course, they are even more fun if I happen to be in a capital ship, being the capwhore that I am. 1v1s can be fun for me, but they are never quite as good as group fights (unless they happen to be epic cap duels), and IMO, group fights are best when involving mixed fleets, not just fighter furballs. What is your definition of "Enjoyable Fight"? - Dieter Schprokets - 03-07-2011 3 kinds: 1. Fair fight, where you either win or lose, but it could go either way. 2. You are outnumbered but you win anyway. Those rule. 3. An Event with RP significance which works out almost as planned. I'd say more, but it is late. What is your definition of "Enjoyable Fight"? - hypermauler - 03-07-2011 I think, its any fight that does not include one of the following: -Capital ships spam to take out snubcrafs ( common with specific faction withou naming anyone) -Any kind of negative OORP behavior assorted for PVP, like: RUN! , fight like a man , ganker... .. ( you know what I am talking about). ( very common in crowded system and with ''pvper'' -Any Pre fight consisting of smartass Role play where the players faction own the absulute truth on everything ( that one is so common it makes me feel bad) -''High lag'' .. that's self explanatory in a online game. -A fight involving too many people in too many factions forming a mass furball of bad FPS with only 2 side'' ( quite common ) Yea i am pessimist, but I feel PVP is often a bad experience for me. Even tho I have about 50% success, the time I win, my ennemy is often being totally rude or impolite. Hopefully, I count on my frends around, my not 100% pvp factions, some relaxed Role play with mate here and there... Voila.... PVP as its purpose sure, but its not gonna work for me on its own. What is your definition of "Enjoyable Fight"? - A1t - 03-07-2011 I like to fight on gb against other gbs. And after every fight(if fight will not finish by fleding of my enemy) I write by personal chat //gf. It is very disappointing when after long time of fighting your opponent running from fight What is your definition of "Enjoyable Fight"? - Eichann Rush - 03-07-2011 Group Fights. I love group fights. Lovelovelovelovelove. Specially when a smaller force beats down a larger one. That and cruiser fights. What is your definition of "Enjoyable Fight"? - Zukeenee - 03-07-2011 None at all. I don't like to die. Q_Q. What is your definition of "Enjoyable Fight"? - Jeremy Hunter - 03-07-2011 Cap fights, or bomber vs gb and up. I suck with fighters. Personal favorite fight: Charging two Makos in the timeframe of ten minutes. And winning. Course, first one had no shield bats, and I had help on the second. What is your definition of "Enjoyable Fight"? - Ark - 03-07-2011 I enjoy the uphill battle, challenging, even stacked against you but not impossible. There's no improvement without challenge. |
