How extreme is too extreme? - Dragonego - 03-10-2011 Over the period I've been here I've seen many far-fetched RP situations. AI going crazy and popping civvies, Harvesters.. Harvesting, people eating other people on a regular basis, 12 year olds commanding huge war machines. My question is how far is to far? If I wanted to RP a deep recon task force with some friends, would it be wrong (My thought) to have say, A Cruiser/Battleship stationed in a system nearby a major enemy house system? From which to project a small group of fighters/bombers? Being far away from friendly territory would be much easier with the company of a Capital ship or other large ship from which to resupply bots/bats/ammo from. Seeing as the nearest friendly station could be 5-10 Jumps away. Keep in mind this is only a hypothetical idea a friend that used to play discovery and wants to get back into it, starting with his capitals (-.- I know). I kinda like the idea though. Having a 'fall back' point nearby. Its no fun when you have to fall back several systems and then stand down for 4 hours. Of course my thoughts are that everyone would be like "LOLNO why u do dis?!!!!" And it would be a bit.. well.. weird. Yea I dunno I'm only posting this to get someone to stop pestering me about it. Anyway gimmie your feedback, and be as harsh as you want. How extreme is too extreme? - Aphil - 03-10-2011 Dude. We have furries. Your idea is perfectly fine. How extreme is too extreme? - Dusty Lens - 03-10-2011 Just use the Cheetohs model of roleplay. Feel free to be cheesy, just not dangerously cheesy. Meh, knock yourself out  How extreme is too extreme? - Lobster - 03-10-2011 Fine idea, just dont be stupid about it. For example: I could see RM caps hanging around in Texas all sneaky like while a wing of MND fighters headed to gather data on New York. If the fighters got in trouble, it would be perfectly reasonable to fall back and have the caps set up an ambush or something.. bail them out so to speak. What wouldn't be reasonable if you took those caps and went into new york with guns blazing; or having head into New York to rescue the fighters if they were in trouble for that matter. If you are going to do it.. do it right and dont be obvious about it. How extreme is too extreme? - Chase - 03-10-2011 ' Wrote:Just use the Cheetohs model of roleplay. I should smack you, me, and the rest of the server for making you question it. Obviously treat the capship as though you WILL lose it if you die. Gives you a more reserved approach to using it. Just do not do it in front of say NB/NY/NL/NT as it would just be beyond stupid. How extreme is too extreme? - Rubber_Duck - 03-10-2011 ' Wrote:Fine idea, just dont be stupid about it. This. As long a s you have a good story behind it... Why not? How extreme is too extreme? - lw'nafh - 03-10-2011 ' Wrote:This.Because people need something to whine about.
