As title states. Since the new mining fix/nerf/whatever. Have you sold/scrapped a miner char? I am just curious as i have just scrapped 4. 2 IMG miner fighters,and 2 IMG transports.

Nope, why would I? I didnt scrap my traders when the mining mod came out because it was more profitable to mine than trade. Mining is still more profitable than trading, but hey, if you want to stop, thats cool, more for the rest of us, which really means something now. I mine for rp, I trade for rp. I am not going to get rid of my rp because prices change.

I kept my Hegimon,and my Bowex transport for it. I just got rid of mining fighter's/freighters. As many have stated. Even if your working with someone, the constant dumping ore chunks is a pain. The new mod i like,and my BMM miner still mines. It has just screwed the small miners.
PS. Actually i do not think mining is more profetable then trading. I think about even,and Admins have said so in the past to.

I've still got my little Kruger Dacite and my Kruger Behemoth. Not planning on selling them.
I'd love to keep mining, but the rest of Kruger| seems to have gone into a depressive slump because things changed with mining. I think it's a bit pathetic, really... but I don't really have anyone to mine with now.
And I can't easily mine alone anymore, now that F1ing tends to drag you out of the plane about 40K.
So my mining ships are collecting dust for a bit, but my interest in mining hasn't waned.

Yup that is pretty much why i sold my IMG's. I have seen no one else in the 2 spots i used to mine with them. It got boring,so i scrapped for the cash. Can always remake at a later date if they change something.

The new mod benefits bigger miners in an awesome way but.. I always used smaller ships and haulers that way i can help mine for others and such but .. now it seems more suited for the individual miner..
Kinda sad its that way now. i mean sure its a tactic change but... meh.. I liked the old way cause you can be a basalt and not useless.

nope. didnt have any to scrap in the first place. i dont shoot rocks to make cargo fall out. i do that to hegemons. its a lot more fun to chase your about-to-be-murdered hunk of mass in space than to wait until one pops up on your screen to shoot it.

I had to upgrade my Daumann Mafic to a Hegemon, but other than that, no, I haven't scrapped anything.
It's still a shame, tho, I really prefer mining in little drones, and even have some background RP for one of my chars in that department

Most people didn't even notice that Cannon tweaked the mining system twice and that (I can only speak for Dublin) the drop rates are okay. Haven't encountered Depletion zo Zero-Drop up to now.
