Usually people entrust their accounts to a friend to keep them alive, but personally, I don't like the monthly player-wipe thing.

If you're characters are inactive for more then 2 months (it is 2 months right?), they will be deleted. You could ask a friend to keep them active for you if you really don't want to lose your stuff.

I hear you could get the admins to ban your accounts.. and it would be preserved till you return. No clue if they would do that for you or not though... (can't hurt to ask nicely)
