Turret coverage for the Imperator is more consistent overall as opposed to the gaping blind spot on the Ku Ex top.
Ku Ex gets to mount Zoner turrets though with merc/freelancer/zoner ID.

The Ku Ex can be a pain with good wrps. I had a Bottlenose, Nyx, and my Pytho shoot at one.

Imperator... that thing is a beast.
However, also, I?m kinda predjudiced against KuTech, so maybe it's that as well

If they both have similar armour upgrades, and the Imperator has a full Corsair GB turret loadout, in a duel the Imperator should win every time (even if the KuEx tries to kite like mad), as it has more firepower, armour and agility.
Basically, the only thing the KuEx is any good at, due to it's turning speed, is being an annoying kiteboat, which the Imperator can simply out-tank and out-DPS. There isn't anything the KuEx can do that the Imp can't do better.
However, if you're trying to make a 'sair boat and want to know which to choose, I'd go for the Imp, it's better in every way, shape and form, plus it's a Corsair ship, and is much more appropriate for a 'sair to use.
