Okay so,I was wondering. I was going around on my NLH character,exploring,and what do you know,I find a wreck. I shoot it cause it was obviously still untouched, and two black widows fall out from it. (!) I was wondering, can I use these weapons, even if they ARE red cell to me, with sufficient proof of gather from a wreck? I would also like to point out the wreck in question is a GAIAN wreck.
Now,the same thing applies for say...Orkney's gallic wrecks, a Splitter dropping wreck in Edinburgh, etc. etc. If this is implemented the way it was (I can't remember any wreck in tau-31 in Vanilla, really, let alone a Gaian one with Black Widows dropping), does red cell tech chart apply to this? It seems a little foolish to deny usage of those guns, cause that would mean in-rp, that I'm unable to mount the guns in some way, which is against the game mechanics. If I'm not mistaken, the red cells on tech chart only say whose guns you MAY not use, it says nothing about which guns you CAN use. Thanks in advance for clarifying this to me.

Why should a Gaian character need SRP to mount Black Widows if they drop from a Gaian wreck?

Why should a Gaian character need SRP to mount Black Widows if they drop from a Gaian wreck?
Because it's Xeno tech.
If everyone got class 9s from wrecks, we'd have a whole bunch of groups using all sorts of crazy gun mixtures.

No. Server, Tech chart, faction rules > RP, common sense and logic.

I say make it so when you die you drop all the tech that is 'red' celled, then people CAN get those weapons if they try hard, but lose them every time they die.
(don't make em drop white/purple/green and make SRP or tech requests still apply to white cells.)
Technically, if my char found a powerful xeno weapon in space, wouldn't he keep it...? Depends on your chars RP really...

Yeah, it'd be really refreshing to see NLH Black Dragons with Del Cids and Black Widows for a change.

I'd say no. Using the same logic, weapon dealers could loot the wreck and sell the Widows to anyone who wants to buy them.
And why not? If they can do it with codenames...

Kind of a tease, isn't it? Putting class 9s in wrecks and then sanctioning people for picking them up. Is there any point at all to having them?
Get rid of them, or let people use them.
