hey, so I though about the smuggler ID and wondered if somone came up with a faction with a smuggler ID?
1. I think the pirate ID is most used generic ID for new faction so why not the smuggler ID...?
2. so if there is no faction with the smuggler ID, I might start my own, just need possible faction name that would fit a smuggler...
3. any othere thoughts that relate to this?

Known faction tags don't really make the best smugglers...
Given that smuggling is about "laying low" I can understand why they don't tend to make factions.

you make good point there, still there must be a way to start a smuggling group without having flashy name then, maybe through RP you can start that faction and come together for a big operation?? what you think?

Isn't there an outcast faction smuggling cardi for their needs and another blabla whatsonot?
I think most ppl goin unlawful want to do more than smuggling.
And as ID says
"Cannot attack anyone except in self defense or to defend the vessel they are escorting"
and
"Cannot pirate"
well yeah..
Also:
If you wanna smuggle big time, you must use the pirate train, but then OUT OF NOWHERE:
"Cannot use any ship with more than 3,800 cargo space, except for the Pirate Train
Cannot land on any lawful bases when using the Pirate Train "

I think the idea here is RP smuggling for the fun of it, not "power" smuggling.
In this case smaller ships are way better than big ones - even using freighters instead of transports for the runs to major planets may be the way to go. It has potential - a lot I think. Gonna be some fuuuuun:)- count me in!
Our motto should be something like:
"Name your cargo, take our price /dontcha even think to bargain you ..............ss /
Anything, anytime, anywhere - no ion storms, fat cops or lazy navy brats shall stop The United Power Smugglers !!! "
The name fits, methinks - imagine the bragging:
"UPS - we did it again"

In fact, apparently, you don't even need to interact with an official faction in order to get FR5ed for smuggling these days--you just need a screenshot that some random freelancer took of your hold containing contraband.

I get that the smuggler ID is weak at moment, but I think kidd got most of my ideas down though not the "UPS" tag :P, like Heilor said befor tag make smugglers big target and thats the problem am trying to overcome.
My first solution is to create a pirate ID faction that make thier profit by smuggling, either by employeen smugglers.
can this be done,? even though I feel like am gona use 2 generc ID---
