The Maquis, once a part of the Council, became notorious in their ways of fighting the crown. With terrorist acts they sought to undermine the crown, often leaving dead civilians behind. The Council, seeing that this was harming their much needed reputation among the common folk, expelled them from the organization, leaving them to fend for themselves. The Maquis, however did not hate the Council because of this, for they realized that what happened was their own fault.
They continued to work side by side with the Council in their own way while secretly gaining sympathy from the Gallic criminal groups, making them a major contestant in the Gallic black market. The Maquis grew in power, and continued to undermine the crown, by means suited them best.

[color=#FFCC99]La Fraternité, or as translated to the official english - The Brotherhood, is a common name for a large number of Maquis living in the Languedoc system, on the Limoux Base. As it's known, the Maquis of Limoux still hold strong ties with the Council, and have demonstrated their ever lasting loyalty by assisting the Council forces in the battle of Languedoc. Due to this, they get frequent support from the Council, in form of supplies and military support.
The Maquis of Limoux view each and other as brothers, brothers in arms, thus forming a brotherhood bound by blood. They all think of themselves as Maquisards, a title that without saying means dedication, bravery and sacrifice. Viewed as maybe the most extreme, by some even the most insane part of the Maquis they show no fear, and always get the job done, no matter the cost.

~Ranking Structure~
Colonel en Chef
-A figurehead, and inspiration to his men, he is the supreme commander of the Maquis forces, the one that commands it's entire, small but potent navy. He may command any ship, that is at the disposal of the Maquis.
Colonel
-The second highest rank in the Maquis chain of command, he is in charge of commanding large forces in the field of battle, and possibly even replacing the Colonel en Chef in his absence.
Capitaine
-Capitaine can command several squadrons of fighters or bombers, standing right below the Colonel, in his authority over the Maquis forces.
Lieutenant
-A lieutenant can command a single squad of fighters or bombers, frequently participating in raids against corporate or military forces.
Maquisard
-Maquisards are skilled terrorists, and saboteurs, those who have lost everything, and thus have nothing to fear. They are those that participate in most of the attacks, terrorist or otherwise. Every member of the Maquis seems to think of himself as a Maquisard, even the Colonel in Chef, for the rank is more of a honorary title than just a rank in the chain of command.
Aspirant
-A rather fresh member of the Maquis, that is still to gain experience in the ways of the Maquis.
