Commodity Quick Reference Guide - mjolnir - 01-30-2008 In the attachment you will find a complete list of all discovery commodities with the areas they are sold for the lowest price and bought for the highest. The information provided should be the basic knowledge of every commodity dealer in Sirius. It's is not meant to completely remove the discovery element of the game, but merely to point you in the right direction. - Only general areas are listed - Highest/Lowest price in the particular areas are displayed How to use this Guide: (it is stored as a .gif file in your Freelancer directory) - Note that traveling between systems that appear far away on the map might actually take less time. - Sometimes the most illogical path might be the fastest, depends on the placement of jump holes/trade lanes/bases. - There are many jump holes that bypass several systems, sometimes this can make your journey faster sometimes not. You are also more likely to be caught by both player and NPC pirates. 2. Highest price difference does not necessarily mean the highest profit for a given time There are some rather short routes that can make very high profit, but also really long ones that are actually faster and more profitable than they seem to be. 3. It's not always best to go for the absolutely highest/lowest price in the area Those few extra credits might not be worth the time and risk associated with it. 4. Selling/buying locations of almost all commodities follow the same logic trough the whole sirius So there might be many places where the commodity is sold/bought that can give you an even better profit than the ones listed in the top three. Perfect example of this would be Deuterium and Synthetic Marijuana. Anti-example would be Plutonium and Slaves. 5. Many of the selling and/or buying locations are pirate bases So you might need to bribe them to let you land in the first place. But try to keep a decent RP during your trading. For example an Interspace Commerce trader would not smuggle Cardamine for the Outcasts. If you want to go to pirate bases regularly I suggest that you use a Smuggler, Zoner or Junker ID. Or at least use appropriate tag. --------- Post to report bugs, comments and suggestions. Commodity Quick Reference Guide - mjolnir - 02-02-2008 thank you just a small *bump* here because the overpopulation on some routes is coming a bit out of hand Commodity Quick Reference Guide - Etaphreven - 02-02-2008 Very useful. I wanna see more sheep in Bretonia:haha: Commodity Quick Reference Guide - kingvaillant - 02-02-2008 to reduce the number of traders on the diamond run maybe the NovaPG should tax more traders:crazy: Commodity Quick Reference Guide - mjolnir - 02-02-2008 ' Wrote:to reduce the number of traders on the diamond run maybe the NovaPG should tax more traders:crazy: This is really off-topic here.... but.. Every time I bring my BD and tax traders. I usually get some 5-10 in first 15minutes.. about half of them pay.. (if I ask for 2-3mil. Otherwise noone pays) After 15 minutes the first BHG/Military BC/BS arrives. If we are more people we kill it.... then two BS arrive.... and it goes like this... Max was about 6 BS, 3 BC, 2 GB... during less than one hour. Well ok.. if the BHG want to protect the traders they should... but they should ask the traders for some money. Commodity Quick Reference Guide - mjolnir - 02-06-2008 New versions: - Added one very interesting location for Light Arms... looks like I missed it somehow. - Fixed the cells in the .doc file... I admit I haven't opened it before.. and Open Office messed it when saving as .doc Commodity Quick Reference Guide - John Canyon - 02-09-2008 ' Wrote:Very useful. Thanks. i really wish the trading in bretonia was better. I find myself going into the Omegas for trade just to be in that area. I hope they scramble trade routes soon and bring some trade to the area. Just a thought, increase the prices on the items that have imbargos on them by bretonia, and contraband, and the police may have alot more fun.
