A letter to the MM - Mickk - 05-03-2011

Earlier today my trader Magnum_Opus, was destroyed in Galileo, by one of your people.

I totally understand it was a roleplay thing involving a bounty (which I have just read up on), I'm ok with that.

What I'm not happy about is being 'toyed' with for over 5 minutes BEFORE final destruction, especially as the ship in question had proved that it was quite capable of doing away with my ship in a few seconds.

Seriously, if you are after the blue message, do the roleplay thing, then get the job done.

It was NOT fun for me in any way shape or form, I got off the server as soon as I could, so I wouldn't ruin anyone else's fun with my bad mood.

Yes, you can call this a Q_Q if you want, right now I don't care.

Sorry mate. But this server is RP server. I performed my role - mercenary, that fullfils the contracts. As best as I can. That is, forcing you to beg for mercy and frowning upon Emperor. I got that, I destroyed your ship.
That's plain RP. If I were after blue messages, I would have gone to Connecticut, as there were few players.

Also, think about all the miners MM~ shoots down in Omega 7. I have yet to get any kind of negative feedback from them.

If there is some Merc or Pirate trying to kill you for bounty and you want to speed things up, shoot at him. If you are using Type 2 guns, no one can ignore them for long. If he dodges, just run. Waiting for Destruction is boring and inefficent ^^ Or try to bribe him. Do something instead of being passive ^^

Uhhh...Speak for yourself Snak3, I'm not above taking a bribe.

Meh, I wasn't exactly sitting still and I *DID* try to bribe my way out of it. I was even willing to let him name his price. I have a log of the whole schmozzle, but I'm not going to post it.

Once I figured out what he was up to, I tried to make it a little difficult for him and I hope I did some damage. :P

By the way...... 7 minutes from first contact to destruction. I checked.

I'm still grumpy with you Snack.

/sarcasm mode on

This is an RP server?! REALLY!!??

I wouldn't have guessed with all of the various RP sections the forum has.

/sarcasm mode off

Sorry, but I *HAD* to do that.

Garret, I was talking about Mandalorians as a whole since I thought they are about honour and long time contracts, which can be compromised by letting your prey away for a cheap bribe.

Micck, post it. Who cares that the mercenary actually tried roleplaying instead of instantly popping target and that you lost seven minutes of money making... Now please drop this issue as it is certainly QQ about getting destroyed and it took whole eternaty before you respawned. As I said, no miners have yet complained about 7 minutes and tedious work lost. You only need to do F2 F3.

Who said the bribe was going to be cheap?

I appreciate people that can actually roleplay well, as you did, because I suck at it.

The thread is NOT about being destroyed, but how LONG it took to get to that point.

Anyway, I'm over it, the next time I even see a flicker of an MM on my radar, I'm out of the area.

I can has lock please?
