To Lane Hackers - SnakThree - 05-08-2011 Could any leading person PM me? I wish to discuss recent issues concerning your players and/or your gameplay. Note: under no circumstances am I trying to give negative image to them. Don't make wrong assumptions and speculations. To Lane Hackers - Moriarty - 05-08-2011 Say it in public, or keep it to yourself. To Lane Hackers - SnakThree - 05-08-2011 Sure. We think that your members are metagaming on us buy following online player list and logging in the moment we come to Shikoku and then, magically wait at the gates of Colorado-Kepler to pirate our transport. The fact that this happened not once, not twice... is leading to think that it isn't a coincidence and that we are specifically targeted. To Lane Hackers - Moriarty - 05-08-2011 Assuming that it is Interspace Commerce that you are representing, of course you are being targeted. Any Lane Hacker that doesn't know to prioritize IC targets over anything other than Ageira and IND deserves a demotion for not having read our abusively voluminous operational manual. IC has always possessed pride of place in our goals. Found here, but let me excerpt the relevant passage for you. http://discoverygc.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=46781 GOALS : 1) The bankruptcy of the corrupt Ageira Technologies, the nefarious Interspace Commerce, and the dissolute cartel known as [IND] Independents.2) Confiscation of all revenues illicitly purloined from the intellectual expertise of former, current, and future Ageira employees by Ageira Technologies with the collusion of Interspace Commerce, their corporate conspirators, and associated hoodlums in [IND]. Methods: 1) The interdiction and disruption of all commercial traffic in the colony of Liberty and its bordering systems in order to bankrupt Ageira Technologies, Interspace Commerce, and [IND] through disruption of their contractual obligations throughout Sirius.2) Harassment and, where necessary, termination of all so-called "legal authorities" under the corrupting influence of Ageira, Interspace Commerce, and [IND]. IC is also specifically listed in our Piracy Policy. PIRACY POLICY Commercial Traffic Taxation General Guidelines : Demand roughly 500 credits for each ton (unit) of cargo space on the ship* Ageira Technologies, Interspace Commerce, [IND] : should have their entire cargo loads confiscated or destroyed. Tax them according to the general guidelines ONLY if they have no cargo. And IC is also on our High Priority Hunt List. HIGH PRIORITY HUNT LIST: Drop whatever you are doing, hunt them down, and separate them from their ill-gotten credits without mercy!
Ageira Technologies and their flunkies
Interspace Commerce and their lackeys [IND] Independents and their hoodlums To Lane Hackers - SnakThree - 05-09-2011 Em. I know that. But my concern is metagaming. Where Lane Hackers somehow magically log in just before we reach Colorado. I myself spectated player list and, after we jumped from NT to Shikoku, Lane Hacker logs with a ship in Colorado. That is not a coincidence when happens for fourth or fifth time. To Lane Hackers - VoluptaBox - 05-09-2011 Snak3: Everyone checks the player list when looking for interactions, no point in denying that. I am sure you do it when you use your Mando, for example, besides the fact that just now you stated the fact that you check the player list looking for Hackers.. If there is a faction that actually has a IRP justification for using the player list that is the Lane Hackers. Just drop it... To Lane Hackers - SnakThree - 05-09-2011 I did looked at player list when I wanted to confirm that they log on at specific time. But I did as a player, my character went on with casual route. I won't deny that I looked at player list to search if there's point in MM character. But after I was a victim of metagaming myself I don't feel like doing it anymore. Although, there's no difference if I log in with MM and scan California lane with or without list. Also, let's admit, most pirates sitting in usual California spots seek PvP themselves. Thus, if they wish that, they get it. Also, my RP let's criminals escape, if they do so at once. While IC transports does not stand a chance against PTrans or Waran demanding all of the cargo and nothing else. I am not against good RP, but it must be created by both parties. I think that using chat list in game while on character is way less convenient that using it on internet to easily track the direction of IC convoy, and then log some character that is best for that job. And why hackers should be the ones deserving such privillege? Ageira and DSE built lanes, IC funded it. Thus all of us should have an explanation and reason to metagame? To Lane Hackers - VoluptaBox - 05-09-2011 I don't call it metagaming, I call it time saving. Unlike a real-life pirate, a player can't spend hours camping a lane waiting for an IC or Ageira or whatever. Also, House Polices got their new toy, I think the Hackers should have something similar, even if this is off-topic. Bottom line, in this case, nothing wrong with using the player list. To Lane Hackers - SnakThree - 05-09-2011 They don't camp lanes. They camp gates, thus denying us a free passage and a chance to slip through a lane. That's your opinion. I speak on behalf of IC|. |
