So, I played some Disco a year or so back, stuck around for a little while before other things ate up my time. I'm looking to get back into playing a bit. But, things have changed a bit since I last played: namely, some of the good ways for a starting player to earn credits don't work so well anymore. Mining silver and selling on Manhattan, neh. Cargo-farming certain NPCs and selling on certain bases, not so much (NPCs seem to spawn pretty rarely, and I haven't seen one with worthwhile cargo).
So, with such changes, can anyone suggest a manner in which a new character could go about gathering up some funds, at least to the point to afford a good freighter? Once in a good freighter I can take care of things from there, it's just getting that first few million without horrible, horrible grinding seems more difficult than it used to be.

Find someone to loan you enough to buy a rhino....other than that, grind, grind, grind away.

/restart HOUSE (gives you a CSV with some more stuff to sell and more cargo space than the Starflier)

join a faction, most give a starting fund, recomend you join a trader faction.
