To: Guildmasters of the GMG - Hawkwings - 05-30-2011 ![]() Comm ID: Sakura Kai, Keibu, Kusari State Police Begin Transmission: Konnichiwa, Guildmasters I am writing to inform you that the GMG CEO of trade, Azuki Tamagotchi, has been arrested on the charges of smuggling and organizing a smuggling operation. The former carries a fine, while the latter carries possible punishments of a fine and community service, up to prison time. The suspect is currently being held at Fuchu prison. For her own safety we have moved to facilities separated from the rest of the prison population. She is entitled to legal counsel, and has expressed the desire to be represented by a Kishiro lawyer. This is of course her decision, though she has been advised to contact her superiors before committing. Attached please find a schedule of the prisoner's communications times. Visiting has been restricted to family only, and as GMG ships are not welcome in Kusari, any transport will have to be done using chartered or privately-owned vessels. Of course all visits must be cleared in advance, and all calls will be monitored. Any inquiries regarding the prisoner, the charges, or the trial can be forwarded along this channel. Respectfully, -Keibu Sakura Kai

Kusari State Police To: Guildmasters of the GMG - Friday - 08-05-2011 Azuki had been in custody on Fuchu for some weeks now. There had been little contact from home, and none at all with other prisoners in the facility. Azuki had been questioned about the movements and destination of the ship, but nothing more in-depth about her role as Trade CEO, or her time spent as a Guild Master. Azuki had been allowed access to a news feed out of New Tokyo. It was clearly government-biades, but proved informative nonetheless. Now however, there was a break in the normal prison routine. Azuki was brought to an interrogation room, and a junior KNF officer joined her. After certain formalities were attended to, including tea, the Officer reached the main point of this meeting. "Azuki Tamagochi, as an elder of the GMG, I want to you to answer my question. What would the Guild demand of the Emperor to put an end to the present conflict?" Azuki spent some time in thought, and began to answer. "There are of course, some in the Guild who would demand all manner of things - but I can give you an answer based on the most pragmatic view I can think of. "There are two issues that I forsee as being a source of continuing conflict. First is the ability of the Guild to enforce its laws in its space. Guild Master Raikoke ordered the annexation of Kurile because she in no way could be assured of a legal recourse in Kusari. The general opinion was that if Kusari was going to take action against the Guild anyway - then they may as well make it worth their while. "The second, and perhaps more serious issue, is sovereign claims over Sigma-17 and Kurile. Should it be possible to revert back to the old Treaty of Aomori, then neither the Guild nor Kusari would have sovereign claims in that system. Kurile would remain a corporate satellite of Samura. "That is all." The officer finished his notes, rose with regulation emotions on his face, bowed and left the room. Azuki was allowed to finish tea, then was returned to her cell. To: Guildmasters of the GMG - Price_ - 08-10-2011 ![]() Ami Kato walked into the interviewing room briefcase in hand. She sat down at the table where Azuki Tamagochi was already waiting with a guard. "Konnichiwa Tamagochi-san, Please forgive the delay us sending you a lawyer, it is unforgivable I know." She looked at the guard a moment. "I need a copy of the arresting report for my client, along with any evidence you have on her." "Oh and also a pot of tea." she called after the guard as he went off to collect the files. She shuffled through briefcase a moment looking to make sure she had what little had been sent to her office. "I honestly, do not have any information on your case right now, would you tell me your side of things? One cannot always trust the official reports to be accurate after all." She said the last softly knowing that someone was probably listening to every word she said. To: Guildmasters of the GMG - Friday - 08-11-2011 Azuki accepted the offer of tea, and a visit from a Kishiro lawyer. Azuki began to speak, whilst preparing tea. "I can accept that Kusari would want to hold on to me, I only ask to moved to Honshu to be with my people there. I can ensure that order is kept among them whilst the territorial crisis continues." Tea was served, and Azuki waited patiently for a reply. To: Guildmasters of the GMG - Markus_Janus - 08-18-2011 Azuki was led once more in to the interrogation room, why they always chose the same room was curious, there must be a reason. This time however she was surprised to see Okada Kazuya of Samura sitting inside reading some notes from a personal computer. Upon seeing Azuki enter the room, Kazuya stood and bowed. Akuzi-sama, I am pleased to see they are treating you well, not that I am surprised with an important person such as yourself. Now the reason why I am here is quite simple, you see at the current rate of conflict between our people, there does not seem to be much gained for either of us continuing along the path we find ourselves on. As such I believe it is time to return to how things were before. Now I must be honest and inform you that as a simple businessman I have no official power to agree to any terms, but as I am somewhat influential in Kusari, I believe I may be able to talk with the people that do. After having witnessed your last interview, I see that you have asked for a transfer to Planet Honshu. This seems to me to be a reasonable request and I am sure you may be accommodated in this regard. As you are a intelligent individual, I am sure you realise that this is a matter of trust, and if you attempt to incite unrest amongst the other inmates you would no doubt be removed again. Not that I am implying you would. On to other matters, you mentioned in your last interview that from your personal opinion there were two issues that the Guild had with Kusari. One was that Kusari would take action against the Guild for enforcing their own laws within Guild recognised space, the other being that the House of Kusari was in preparations of taking military action against the Guild. I can assure you that any reasonable enforcement of Guild laws is of no concern to Kusari in the slightest. The only time this ever would become a problem would be if either multiple attacks on innocent people not breaking your laws were to happen or if the Guild specifically started creating laws to purposely hamper Kusari trade. As for the second point, military action was only ever considered after the Guild began attacks on Kusari soil with no attempts to mediate or indeed negotiation of any sort. If this were to happen again then I personally can think of no other way to answer such a threat. Now if we are both inclined to move forward with work towards peace, then we shall move to how it is we can achieve this. Again from your last interview, I see that you mentioned you believe a return to the Treaty of Aomori was the correct method of sealing peace. I agree with your assessment and feel it is best for everybody. Samura has no interest expanding in the Sigma-17 system except maybe a corporate satellite for Kurile in the future, but only time can tell if even this is necessary. Though again I must be clear that even though Kurile will be recognised as a corporate satellite, Kusari will fight to keep it as it will with any territory it has. With that Kazuya sat back in his chair to hear what may come next. To: Guildmasters of the GMG - Friday - 08-18-2011 Azuki made sure to bow slightly lower than the Samura Representative, there was no telling what he was there for at first glance. Upon listening to Okuda, Azuki began to speak. "Firstly I would offer my thanks, to be able to return to my people on Honshu. I would serve to keep us Guild Citizens on Honshu in a calm and orderly fashion, and lobby with the local authorities to ensure they are kept interred out of harms way for the course of the current hostilities." Azuki began to make tea. "That is my duty, Okada-sama, to not imperil Guild Citizens needlessly. Guild Master Raikoke is more inclined to make such sacrifices, I however am not. If I were relocated to Honshu, it would certainly bolster support for moderate voices of peace." Tea was served. "And the peaceful way to end the conflict, would be to hold a joint statement - mutually renouncing all sovereign claims on Planet Kurile and Sigma-17 - with the Treaty of Aomori being once again in full effect. This should not interfere with lawful and discrete transit to and from Sigma-17, nor the need to defend Planet Kurile against imminent danger." Azuki wiped her lips with a napkin, finshing the tea ceremony. "I trust this answers some of your questions?" To: Guildmasters of the GMG - West - 10-15-2011 Guard entered room Tamagotchi-san I was ordered to give you this he slowly came to Tamagotchi-san and handed a chip with record, bowed and left a room without delay Azuki launched a record distorted voice started to speak *voice only* Konnichiwa guildmaster, it seems that your friends from guild are not in hurry to help you, neither do they have will to finish this unnecesary conflict. You must understand, that our patience are not unlimited and sooner or later it would deplete, just like your gas fields, and after that neither you nor your friends will be safe. This is not a threat, just a mere warning for you, you are not a stupid woman, so start to think on your future and on future of your guild. For a start you may try to convince your friends from guild that it's time to discuss peacefull agreement.... oh one more thing, in case if they refuse our guns are always ready. transmission ended and chip selfdestructed leaving only a handful of ashes To: Guildmasters of the GMG - Friday - 10-15-2011 Azuki stared at the remains of the burnt chip, as though she expected a cuckoo clock to spring forth, chirping, from the ashes. "And exactly what am I expected to do from this prison cell on Honshu?" Azuki thought to herself. Azuki smiled to herself. Either she was to be released soon, with the expectation that she would sue for peace. Failing that, insanity amongst KNF High Command was the only possible explanation for what had just happened. To: Guildmasters of the GMG - Zukeenee - 10-16-2011 Tomimoto Tachiko, Chokan of the Kusari State Police, knocked on the door to Azuki Tamagotchi's cell and quietly entered the room. "Please pardon my intrusion, Tamagotchi-san, but I'm here to inform you of a certain development in your case." Tomimoto took a small holopad from his breast pocket, opened a file, and skimmed its contents. "As we speak, a modest apartment is being prepared for you in the Toyama Prefecture here on Planet Honshu. The apartment itself will, of course, be under 24-hour surveillance by KSP inspectors, who will be occupying the other units immediately surrounding yours." "You will be allowed free use of the NeuralNet and you'll be allowed to send and receive transmissions from KSP-approved individuals, but all Net usage and transmissions will be monitored." "You will also be allowed to have visitors at your apartment. You may meet with with one KSP-approved individual or one small group of KSP-approved individuals each day, provided that each guest agree to a full official screening immediately before each visit." "For the time being, you won't be allowed to leave your unit for any reason, barring emergencies such as fire or flood. However, all amenities necessary for your comfort are provided with the apartment." Tachiko turned off the holopad and placed it back in his pocket. "I apologize that we've had to leave you here for so long with no news on your case. Until recently, it seemed it was nearly forgotten. But all of a sudden, certain officials in the Council are pushing for a 'restricted parole'. I think it's a sign that Kusari is finally looking to move forward and bring an end to our conflict with your Guild." "In any case, the apartment should be significantly nicer than your living conditions here. If you're okay with the move, you should pack your personal belongings and be prepared to head out under police escort in twenty-four hours. Another officer will be here to pick you up tomorrow." Tachiko gave a small bow and left the cell. To: Guildmasters of the GMG - Kusari Uchugun - 11-05-2011 A red-faced, dishevelled Imperial messenger attempted to straighten his attire as he strode down the stark corridor to the picturesque apartment holding Azuki Tamagotchi. Flanked by alert police officers, the messenger felt safer than any point in the last twenty four hours. After sounding the door-chime he double checked his burden. After a moment the door opened a crack, a serene face peered out and asked his business. Rinku bowed and excitedly began his speech '[color=#FF6666]Konnichiwa Miss Tamagotchi. I have been entrusted to deliver into your care this most classified package from the Council Of The Rising Suns. It was a dangerous journey with many perils, but my mission is complete. The Council wished to convey their faith in your ability to discuss their proposal with your colleagues. Arigatou." The messenger handed over his enveloped message which contained a proposal for a new treaty. Quote: |
