If I am in a fight, then I run out of scanner range, then later on I meet somone who saw me fighting, and they see me dock, does that count as fleeing?

OK what about if I run out of scanner range of the person i was fighting, then he comes and sees me docking later on?
Basically this second question is, does going out of scanner range end the fight?

the moment you move 10 k away from the combatants, you have "fled".
Edit: That's going by the rules as I understand them... haven't checked for any amendments for a while though.

Nope. You cannot re-engage only if the opponent saw you docking.

from this I gather if you dock while the person you where shooting sees you, it counts as a death, otherwise you are fine

Use common sense. The amount of questions regarding rules that are very simple is astounding, more akin to people looking for loop holes to exploit.
You broke away from the fight and managed to dock without your opponent knowing. That fight is over. If you run into him again, there would have to be a PvP engagement before you dock in order for you to be counted as dead.
If you are just chilling at a base and he flies up and sees you dock, you aren't dead. If you are flying around and a role play interaction that leads to a PvP engagement happens and you flee and dock while he is in range, you're toast.

Srsly what the hell happened to make you post 10000 threads like this one? If you are so afraid of getting sanction just don't play when in doubt, the game won't run away for 4 hours

You do understand the admins aren't here to serve your whim. You have your answer. If you applied common sense you wouldn't have had to ask it in the first place. Quite over thinking and over complicating the rules.
