Sirus Trading Organization

Need something delivered to somewhere? Are you unable to get the Professionals to do it? Having issues getting supplies across embargos or other houses?? Are you way out in the deep and need a supply run? Call us we will deliver.

Who we are:

We are a semi lawful group; we are Traders foremost and Mercenaries. We have come together for a common goal of "free trade". We are tired of Houses and their embargos. We are tired of People and corps needing materials and supplies that other houses are not allowing to be transported. We are tired of the pirated charging taxes on shipping goods that is already taxed by lane use and shippers.
In a nutshell we want to bring to Sirus a freedom of trade to all. Not just what someone somewhere has decided to allow or has decided that this faction or corporation is not allowed or not worthy. So in an attempt to get the goods to who needs them, we are the group to deliver it on time. We have the means and the expertise of season traders, Former Pirates that are tired of being hunted and Smugglers that knows how to get around the systems.

Background:

In 812as, Gorva began freelancing Sirus wide as a Zoner. However, plagued with pirates and corporate walls that refused to work with independents, Gorva began pairing up with other traders and hiring mercenaries for escort services. Eventually Gorva formed the first of the STF, Sirus Trade Federation, by hiring full time traders to convoy and mercenaries to escort.

In 812, Gorva left and became a Pilot of teh Bounty Hunters Guild. After chasing Pirates and Bounties all over Sirus... Gorva tired of the stress and risk of that life.

So, now in 817as, Cpt Gorva made a deal with the JhC and to purchase a Barge. Returning to the STF which was renamed to the STO '€“Sirus Trade Organization, Girva took back the reigns of the Organization. Taking position of CEO, Gorva and his new wife Erilia, became Zoners once again. With a mobile HQ, Gorva and Erilia work hard to recruit and make deliveries. Finding contracts now more opened to freelancers in the time he was gone. Gorva renames the Organization to STO - Sirus Trading Organization.

I have a few questions and comments.

First, what would a trade organization have to do with cap ships, and why have them in house space? Second, you say that you're a semi-lawful group. However, today while on my LPI, my party was attacked by one of your ships (here) while we were fighting a group of pirates known as the Indians.

Now that incident aside, I've seen you ingame quite a bit. I like how you guys convoy quite a bit, but I've noticed how they don't have any escorts. When having a convoy of 2 or more ships, I would suggest some escorts, a fighter or two to scout ahead/distract pirates. I've not talked to your ships very much ingame, just exchanging greetings while flying by. However, the incident I encountered earlier the cruiser spouted a bunch of gibberish, what looked like deformed English clashed with leet speak( ^ ^ ) . A simple ranking system (Just a small one, maybe only 2 or 3 ranks) would be best, to limit any newcomer from buying a Barge or battleship, and proving that they can RP are aren't just here for 'non-rus)) killing'.

Quote:ID:Zoner (Prefered), Zoner Guard or Freelancer, Merc, Trader

.
Ships: All Zoner and civi Fighters, Bonbers, Gunboat and Transports (less than 38000 (unless Pirate ID), Barge -- Zoner Guard

That's....quite a bit of ID's on your list. Now, bringing the "Semi-lawful" thing back up, and reading this: (unless Pirate ID), it's a bit of an oxymoron. I don't see how a Semi-Lawful Zoner group needs to pirate, or use Merc/Freelancer ID's as the Zoner ID can already do what those ID's can do. So limiting everyone to a Zoner ID/IFF would make things less complicated, and prevent Mercenary Whales running around due to confusing on the IDs.

Thank you for the suggestion.. I was considering dropping many of the IDs as you mentioned as it covered with Zoner. So I posted here and the Pirate was suppose to be removed...

as for the incident with LPI today..I am just catching wind of that and looking for an explination..and trust me I will get one. we are small and tight still... not like larger groups that can take time getting info out of each other.

the one and only destroyer we have is for the barge protection .. it was not suspose to be in house space at all... you can see why we might need something that size escorting a pair of barges

..thanks the hte comments I do appriciate those.. and the info on my wayware destroyer...

I was the Siege Cruiser the destroyer attacked and, being in a bit of a mess with the dozen Indians there, told him to, quote "Piss off before I change my mind about attacking these Indians to deal with you."

Yes, it was a bit hostile, but I figured he'd get the hint to leave. Unfortunately, he said something along the lines "You want some huh?" And fired a mortar at me.

With this event, unfortunately, STO|Nightmare will be attacked on sight inside of Liberty by myself and others who witnessed his attack. I recommend you remind him that Zoners have no business bringing capital ships into Liberty, and that attacking the Navy is not a good idea, at all.

Thats a shame I Will talk to him...But as of attacking one of ours on site....
Then Indians.... Hmmm I would reconsider Things have changed Post to ME........IF THIS CONTINUES

This has been dealt with... and addressed.
1- the destroyer was not suppose to be there... He says he was defending several STO Vessels.. under no circumstance should STO fire on lawfuls.. it matters not why.. Lawfuls do not pirate.

2- the Destroyer is suppose to defend only the barges,, and operate outside scanning range if its on and following the barges..its meant to deal with pirate gunships..

3- is no longer an issue at this moment

If the LN needs to fine the STO for this ..please let us know..

I would really recommend that you don't recruit newbies so aggressively from the getgo. I was helping a player get started and he said you offered to buy him a new ship if he joined, him having 5 minutes of experience on this server. Having newbies wearing your tag as they figure out the rules and get sanctioned is not good, and neither is it good for a newbie to be relying on a faction to develop his RP backbone. Newbies should develop independently before enjoying factional roleplay. My advice: help people out and maybe give them a little, but don't buy them a ship worth > $10,000,000 and tell them to tag up when they haven't been on the server for that long. Teach a man to fish and feed him for a lifetime . . .

I have a few questions;
Firstly, how related is the STO to the various Zoner factions?
Secondly, Do you plan on developing specific relations with factions, with supply contracts and such, or is it more of a 'if you shoot us we'll shoot back' kind of diplomacy?
Thirdly, this group seems to have alot on it's hands; Hunting bounties, lawful trading, hiring yourselves out as escourts and smuggling seems like alot of jobs for a relativly small faction. Do you plan on focusing specifically one one or two of these jobs, or do you plan to keep the variety in the faction?

Also, I have seen you guys online quite a bit. I like that you guys have high activity, and look forward to seeing more of you.

let me break this out a bit....
Yes we are planning on developing trade contracts with other factions... and we normally dont shoot even when shot at... ask the RH..

Second we are working on the relations with other Zoners..

We dont hunt bounties -- and rarely do we hire out -- although if our escorts are not involved in escorting transports of our own then they can hire out. --smuggling is something that happens when you dont follow house rules.. and we don't always follow them.

We are focusing mainly on trade relation and setting up trade contracts..
our secondary purpose is to keep our vessels safe.. within limits.. I will use the houses to my advantage.. (don't tell them that) and make freindly relations with the pirates willing.

anything else is just to keep buzy...

good advise -- my second was hiring anyone she could...
we have hiring freeze unless they have experience ...

so we can train up the noobies we acquired.

I believe everyone deserves a chance. the STO is a minor group and probably never faction due to the one tag per ID rule.
