Gallic Corvette/Military Transport - Turkish - 06-18-2011

Another for fun model I started on a whim, this one is based off of a sketch I did. Musing the idea of a workhorse model again I splitched this together. Generally speaking it has next to no detail but I have some ideas for it. It's not even a true Gallic design, I'm letting myself temper it with a certain Greco-Roman motif because it's been on my mind lately.

Relative scale has it slightly larger then a GB, but still much smaller than a cruiser. Since it's so lacking in detail it can be easily scaled as well.

The fleur-de-lys in the front looks like a big piece of bling. Or an arrow head, because the ship itself looks like a crossbow.:P

It is, quite literally a Ballista.

Now is that just an effort in architectural wanking or does the point serve a purpose? A forward gun mount perhaps?

For now it's a pursuit in architectural wanking. To everyone else who've left kind works thanks to each of you.:)In the mean time check out the rear, I've been playing with it a bit this morning.
