Civillian Gallic tech - Kristall - 06-19-2011 http://discoverygc.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=87083& So, Gallia is open for buisness... but basically all the generic IDs, plus the Junker ID, say 'Must remain in Gallia', in the Civillian Gallic tech slot... Is there a reason for this? Or is it just an oversight? Civillian Gallic tech - Echo 7-7 - 06-19-2011 Definitely not an oversight. Gallia being open for business just means that trade and transit is open, not the sharing of technology. The reason for the inclusion of that rule on Junker IDs is to separate Gallic and Sirian Junkers, who don't communicate much at the moment. Also, if an Admin spots this, there is an error on the chart. The Freelancer ID -> Gallic Brigands white cell is missing the "Must remain in Gallia" text. Edit: I think there are also 'compatability problems' between Gallian and Sirian tech. Civillian Gallic tech - Kristall - 06-19-2011 Okay, agreed, technology mixes are bad. I just wish there was some way for a PURE Gallic tech character to visit Sirius, without being in a Gallic faction. Or for a Gallic Junker to enter Sirius. Considering how their whole reason for being was to bring Sirius tech back to Gallia, it's a little bit odd that they can't even go there. Quote:Or for a Gallic Junker to enter Sirius.Well, technically they can, considering that Gallic Junkers have access to the Sirian Junker tech. But, yeah, I know that doesn't really help... And take a look at the CBF... who are actively using Gallic Brigand tech. Or my fellas, the Renegades. Talk with Seby to be sure I suppose though... Maquis tech on the other hand is restricted. Civillian Gallic tech - Veygaar - 06-19-2011 ' Wrote:Correct. Union Corse ID has the same thing. I personally don't take advantage of that.... but... just saying. Civillian Gallic tech - Hielor - 06-19-2011 ' Wrote:AND (lil insider) There is no official Union Corse Faction atm... Meaning white cells = green atm no?No, that means white cells = red. Look at the current situation with Molly guns and no Molly official faction. Cannon has stated that means the cells should be treated as red. Civillian Gallic tech - Echo 7-7 - 06-19-2011 ' Wrote:Not an error... As that faction is now free to move about in the rest of Sirius. The rest of Sirius? No, I don't think so. The absolute limit of Gallic unlawfuls are: ' Wrote:Brigands can go to Taus, Outcast Space, Bretonia, Kusari... And only the edges of Bretonian and Kusari space at that, iirc. *gets back to thread-digging* |
