To the Bretonian Armed Forces and Bretonian Police Authority - atlantis2112 - 07-02-2011 ![]() A dark silhouette appears on the screen. The face is obscured by a pilot's mask and a dark visor. The hiss of a cardamine breather unit is audible. The man leans forward and speaks with a purposefully deepened and distorted voice. Good day Bretonians. Allow me to introduce myself. I am a member of Alcor Wing, a subdivision of the Vagrant Raiders. My callsign is Scene[1], and I have a proposition for you. As our scouts have informed us, you Bretonians seem to be in a bit of a pinch at the moment. With continuing attacks from the Kusari Forces from the Tau systems, from Rheinland aggression in the Omega systems, and the continuance of prowling Molly and Corsair pirate forces from Dublin and other systems, you are no doubt stretched a tad thin. Perhaps we can help with that. You may be surprised at the fact that we decided to contact you. You hopefully will come to realize that the Vagrant Raiders and the Kingdom of Bretonia have some similar interests. Neither of us want to see Bretonia destroyed. We both want every Corsair that comes near us to explode with haste. Neither of us have any great love for the Mollys. We have some things to bring to the table. We have the expertise to successfully exercise hit-and-run guerrilla warfare tactics against superior numbers and greater firepower. As demonstrated by, ahem, 'regular' members of the Vagrant Raiders, when they assisted a certain Ensign M. Harding of the Bretonian Armed Forces, and a certain K. Marloe of the Bretonian Police in the destruction of no less than four Corsair Imperator gunboats and one Corsair Titan fighter, with the callsigns:
Quote: [24.06.2011 16:19:20] BPA)Sndt|K.Marloe[SRD]: who in the blazes are you fellas then Now let me introduce Alcor Wing. We fly signature Border Worlds craft. All of our ships' transponders are Freelancer, and we carry Mercenary ID papers. We specialize in the previously mentioned hit-and-run tactics, especially against capital class ships. If asked, we also can provide escort services. As also previously mentioned, we have no love for the Kusari Naval Forces, Mollys, Rheinland Military, and especially the Corsairs. We consider any of these factions to be valid targets. >>> Datalink Apart from the military services mentioned, I also have been asked by Petrucci to relay another offer. The Vagrant Raiders possess a smuggling fleet, and we're willing to start shipping arms to you: military vehicles, light arms, and even black market munitions for your troops on the ground. We would also be willing to ship more common items, such as consumer goods, water, and food supplies. And of course, after mentioning all of this, you are probably asking yourselves, 'What's in it for them?'. Well, this is a difficult time for us as well as you. If our name seems vaguely familiar to you, that's because we once were in the Omega systems, doing our thing. An untapped nomad artifact on the surface of Planet Spague sent our homeship out into the middle of nowhere, causing massive casualties and damage. Those Raiders who managed to not be sucked into the Nomad vortex have scattered throughout Sirius, and we have been so far unsuccessful in our attempted communications with them. We are no longer near our prior strength. We need allies. So my Bretonian friends, with all of these things on the table, I'd like to turn it over to you now. What say you to making new friends in this difficult time? Scene 1, out. ![]() To the Bretonian Armed Forces and Bretonian Police Authority - Dab - 07-10-2011 Incoming Transmission Comm ID: Baroness Evyn Hunter Origin: HMS Craven's Nest Recipients: Vagrant Raiders Apologies for taking so long. -Baroness Snowdown Admiral of the Norfolk Great Fleet, Bretonia Armed Forces Assistant Director Bretonian Intelligence Service To the Bretonian Armed Forces and Bretonian Police Authority - Vagrant Raiders - 07-27-2011 ![]() You had your chance. A pity. ![]() To the Bretonian Armed Forces and Bretonian Police Authority - MrHeadphones - 07-28-2011 ---Incoming Transmission--- Encryption: High Comm ID: Admiral Robert Jones Origin: Battleship Suffolk, New London Recipients: Vagrant Raiders Apologies for the delay, the border scuffle with Rheinland has been quite a large strain on our time, and so it's taken this long to get a conclusive decision from the rest of the Admiralty on your offer. Our decision is this: With regard to the offer of assistance against our enemies, we are quite happy to add you to our list of approved bounty collectors, with all the privileges that come with that. However, in light of the recent calls for peace talks with Rheinland, our analysts believe that we have more than sufficient war materials to last for at least another few months without any extra supplies being brought in, and so we will have to decline the offer of your smuggling wing for now. ---Transmission ends--- |
