They seemed to have left after they attacked the Rhinland Military, and were thus declared Enemies of Rhinland.
Yeesh... Can't even take a bit of RP.
(By the way, I saw one of them doing missions for the Corsairs once... What kind of Bounty Hunter works for the Corsairs!?)

I asked sid that, apparantly they were BH's that would work for anyone, yeah, I thought it strange too.
I think they just wanted the best of both worlds. Not being shot at everytime they were seen by an NPC (lawful) and shooting who and what they liked (pirate).
