Battleship Survey - finius - 02-12-2006
I'm just wondering, what all of you are equipping your battleships with. I've heard lots of talk about 'The best setup'. So I was wondering just what you all use. I personally have no preferance, and I just leave it stock, with maybe an armour, scanner and tractor upgrade. Weaponry has always confused me, and I was just wondering what you consider your best setup?

I use on the TG Flagship, TNC Oradea, Kusari design battleship, 5 Bretonia BS missiles and 13 Solaris turrets. :D

On the Paladin, Flagship of the SF it's a Liberty Dread I use liberty battleship primary turrets, Bretonian BS missiles and Bretonian Gunboat Forward guns.
I find it quite good ;)

The future flagship of AW will be a RH BS with 5 solaris turrets spread out evenly, 6 salamancas, 4 Osiris turrets, 4 BS missile turrets, and 5 of the new tizona turrets. It will be a balanced BS to use against fighters and cap-ships.

Personally I won't ever use a BS, however I've used several crusiers.
The current Huegenot has :-
2 Liberty Cruiser turrets,
3 Britonia BS missile turrets,
4 Corsair anti-shield turrets (can't remember what they're called at the minute),
and the rest are, along with the gun mounts, IMG class 8 Vampire turrets/guns,
I'm using the IMG weps because A) thats the faction the TG are linked to and B) they have the longest range I've found (not including chainguns).
The Rhienland Crusier I did have had :-
4 Britonia BS missile turrets,
5 Adv. Debilitator anti-shield turrets,
and the other 6 were Liberty Cruiser turrets.

My Rheinland Battleship ,which is (or was) one of the most powerful BS in the server, is equiped with:
4 Solaris Turrets (The "beam" weapons, aka Phasers)
5 Missile turrets (bretonian ones, which are the most powerful at 5000/2500 damage)
12 Ossiris turrets
Mk7 Armor Upgrade
Discovery Scanner
Heavy tractor beam
Note that RH BS are almost Nova proof. So only 3/10 of the novas fired at me make effect.
But it is actually not being used because i consider my RH bomber more "damageful".

People....never ever let me attempt to attack Korrd...he is packing some serious punch in that Rheinland Battleship thingy of his...and I dont wanna be blown away in a second :P
I'm in the process of making a new ship, Rheinland Battleship, will be equipped with mkVII armour, discovery scanner, etc. Just need some serious weapons ideas...?
If you need a better description of what I want it for...well...it's gotta be a superweapon...not bothered about taking out fighters, I just want to blast big stuff...
