BB Gun Help - stardust47 - 09-05-2011 I've been using my G13 BB gun (a zinc-alloy shell spring-powered pistol based on the Colt M1911) for a couple of weeks now, but I've noticed a problem. The last time I used it, it fired before I pulled the trigger. Could someone help me with this? BB Gun Help - Switchback - 09-05-2011 is it one of thoes BB guns that fire metal BBs or plastic ones? If you want a airsoft/bb gun to plink stuff around the house, get a GBB (if you have money/law allows it) BB Gun Help - stardust47 - 09-05-2011 ' Wrote:is it one of thoes BB guns that fire metal BBs or plastic ones?Fires plastic ones. BB Gun Help - Jayce - 09-05-2011 That's not a BB gun, it's an airsoft gun. BB guns (the nice ones) are built to a much higher standard. But I can't help. Soru. BB Gun Help - Agmen of Eladesor - 09-05-2011 Basically if it's possible to take it apart, then you need to do so to adjust the spring tension. That sounds like what's happening - the firing mechanism is loose. (This is a great way for you to learn how things are put together, too. Just take pictures and make notes, so you can put it all back together again.) I grew up with a .177 pellet rifle that also fired BB's - that was nice for target practice, and not too deadly. Oh, the occassional bird, squirrel, or other rodent was a potential target - I had a 4x scope on it, and kept it sighted in at 25 yards. Now for rodent control I have a .22 with 10x scope that I have sighted in at 100 yards. Works well on the occassional possum, mole, hedgehog, or other yard destroyer - and more importantly, doesn't sound too loud so it doesn't disturb my neighbors. Airsoft guns can be very well made, they are used for Military and law enforcement training so they have to be high quality. OP, you have a low end gun probably, what is commonly called in the competitive airsoft world "A springer" which is usually a real low quality gun(most of the time). If you want just to shoot targets, you can get a good Co2 powered pistol for about 60 dollars(USD) and Co2 around here is cheap. Or if you want to go to arenas and shoot eachother(which is a sport) then get a GBB pistol, thoes will run you about 100 to 150 bucks(with that you can get pretty much any good quality pistol, almost always full metal, and fire about 300 FPS or so, which is good for CQB arenas. TLDR version: If you just want another springer, just buy a cheap one online, works fine. Want something that has more use than just PEWPEWPEW YAY I KILLED A CAN then get a GBB. |
