Windows 8 Developer Preview Released - ivr56 - 09-14-2011 http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/apps/br229516 Went live today. 3.6GB comes in 32 and 64-bit varieties Pre-Beta Windows 8 Developer Preview Released - Anonymous User - 09-14-2011 ooooooooooold:D had W8... uh... ~half year ago for 2 or 3 months or so..:P switched back to 7 - because 8 suxx what i can say about: DO NOT USE! its a pain in the butt - nothing more. W7 is much better - all the way. the handfull new "functions" W8 got are not worth gettin' it in my opinion. I'm not only talking about bugs. they are normal in betas/dev-editons. (and i had the developer edition with more features than a public beta) Windows 8 Developer Preview Released - Stefz - 09-14-2011 ' Wrote:ooooooooooold:DAs I tought... -.- Windows 8 Developer Preview Released - r3vange - 09-14-2011 [color=#FFFFFF]The Golden rule Change your windows when they stop making drivers for it... Windows 8 Developer Preview Released - Fletcher - 09-14-2011 Microsoft are a tad quick on the OS releases these days... why? Windows 8 Developer Preview Released - Camtheman - 09-14-2011 Pretty much goes like this. XP > W7 > W8 > Vista > Everything else Windows 8 Developer Preview Released - sadtranslation - 09-14-2011 Once it gets finally getting out of beta I would buy a new laptop with it being pre-installed. Vista was awful. Seven was imperfect. Eight has a chance. Windows 8 Developer Preview Released - Blodo - 09-14-2011 The whole "universal friendliness" approach that they are trying to pull off with their GUIs only reminds me of dystopian fiction for some reason. Like we're getting closer and closer to completely transparent and minimalistic cyberpunk corporate interfaces. How long until they start adopting the visual styles straight from sci fi movies that present them? As for adoption: Expect it to be forced onto users through new laptops and then quickly adopted unconditionally "due to dropping market share of the other windows versions". Like what they did with windows vista to make it sell at all. EDIT: Sad ninja'd me with the laptops.
