So, everyones p*ssed off about something that's in the mod. Chances of said thing changing is next to none. However, as loyal members of the community nonetheless, i think it would be nice to have a perk of some kind as a thank you or a promotion or whatever you wanna see it as.
Ok i'l get to the point.
Promo days.
For one day, all ship cargo capacities are doubled.
Will boost interest in the server/mod and everyone get's little ray of sunshine.
Doesn't necessarily have to be cargo, but maybe a mining yield boost. The auto-update makes it easier to do these days. So why not?

Would be cool on Disco birthdays, but I could only see it as being powertrader day, and all the spirit of the birthday is lost and nobody would be at the party in Conn when we blow Cannon's beer into the next dimension with all the ships in the mod firing at him at the exact same time.
Sounds like a blast.
In all seriousness it would depend on the promo, who gets it and why.

Who and why needn't be an issue. The idea is that it's a universal thing, everyone gets a bite, but since loyal members of the community are online more often their going to benifit from it anyway. The same kind of principles of double/triple XP happy hours on popular games such as COD or Red Dead Redemption. As soon as we start getting picky with who, arguments arise and nobody sees it going anywhere.
At the end of the day, powertraders are a part of discovery. Everyone's done it to some extent, if not then mining, or maybe not at all if your one of the hardcore minority that will never 'sink that low' or whatever their opinion is.
I'm not saying we should embrace the idea of powertrading, because i can see how some people may be concerned in the lack of roleplay that would follow. But would it hurt to mix up the daily Discovery session with something nice from the admins for a change?

I agree, nice idea, would bring some excitment to disco in expecting those suprises and break up boredom which we are experiencing atm waiting for 4.86.

1) People realise that missiles actually exist (and work to some extent). The server crashes shortly after from the lag.
2) Firing a SNAC shot 'just to drop their shields' will now be either ludicrously hilarious or really, really not funny.

Actually, to be honest, I wouldn't mind a massive PvE challenge where we all need to pitch in.
