KNF Requirements for Promotions - Kusari Uchugun - 10-24-2011
Low Command:
等海尉 Santō Kaii (Ensign)
First step in the Kusari Naval Forces, these pilots are in training, and must develop the Kusari Navigational maps and knowledge of Kusari problematics, before being considered for a promotion.
To get promotion to Nitō Kaii rank you need:
- Fully setup Chimaera (ID, IFF, Equipment)
- Completion of one patrol report
- Fighter training, Santō Kaii must successfully pass Fighter combat test.
等海尉 Nitō Kaii (Sub-Lieutenant)
Have received commissioning scroll to act on behalf of Kusari Republic, It's the second step in the Kusari Naval Forces after proven total knowledge of Kusari star maps and Kusari diplomacy.
Allowed ship: Umibozu
To get promotion to Ittō Kaii rank you need:
- Completion of three more patrol reports (Four total)
- Bomber Training, Nitō Kaii needs to prepare a second ship, a 'Umibozu' bomber, and pass Bomber combat test.
- Successfully pass the Kusari Law test.
等海尉 - Ittō Kaii (Lieutenant)
Next step in the Low Command. They can command any officer below their rank.
To get promotion to Santō Kaisa rank you need:
- One month of service since the last promotion
- Completion of four more patrol reports (Eight total)
- Successfully pass the Kusari History/Law test(extended).
等海佐 Santō Kaisa (Lieutenant-Commander)
The highest position wihtin the Low Command, work as a link between the Middle and Low commands. Can manage recruitment.
Allowed ship: Gunboat
Primary tasks:
- Coordinating large-scale engagements.
- Leading Kusari-wide patrols.
- One month of service since the last promotion
- Completion of four more patrol reports (Twelve total)
- Pass gunboat combat test.
- Prove command abilities on the field.
Middle Command:
等海佐 Nitō Kaisa (Commander)
Can manage recruitment and/or training. Nitō Kaisas are allowed to apply for the title of 'KNF Senior Flight and Combat Instructor', they are experienced pilots in combat, and have accomplished many hours on patrols. Can fly any ship up to the Kusari Destroyer.
Allowed ship: Gunboat, Destoryer.
Primary tasks:
- Coordinating large-scale engagements.
- Leading Kusari-wide patrols.
- Organization of scout, escort missions.
- Organization of trainings.
- Knowledge of Kusari diplomacy.
- Nitō Kaisa may be promoted to Ittō Kaisa only if the High Command deems fit.
等海佐 Ittō Kaisa(Captain) (only 3)
Ittō Kaisa is the higher position within the Middle Command, they respond directly to the High Command, they have entrusted to lead any squadron in combat. Can manage recruitment, training and may lead diplomatic meetings. Can fly any ship up to the Kusari Battlecruiser.
Allowed ship: Wyrm, Gunboat, Destoryer, Battlecruiser
Primary tasks:
- Organization of trainings.
- Field diplomacy.
- Ittō Kaisa may be promoted to Kaishō-ho only if the High Command deems fit.
High Command:
海将補 Kaishō-ho (Rear-Admiral) (only 2)
Kaishō-ho reflects all the honor, pride and sense of duty of the Kusari Naval Forces. This rank is the highest rank available and under direct command of the KNFHC.
Can manage recruitment, training, may lead diplomatic meetings and can grant special operations.
- Allowed ship: All.
- Access to the shared Battleship
海将 Kaishō (Vice-Admiral) (only 1)
Kaishō are responsible for tactical decisions and a key figure in command bridge on the Kusari battleships. Can manage recruitment, training, may lead diplomatic meetings and can grant special operations. Faction sub-leaders, high command members. Should be self-evident.
- Allowed ships: All.
- Access to the shared Battleship, Armory.
幕僚長たる海将 Bakuryō-chō taru Kaishō (Admiral) (only 1)
Highest Officer, can manage recruitment, training, may lead diplomatic meetings and can grant special operations, have the final word.
The Admirals are under direct command of Prime Minister.
One Admiral is the Faction leader. Currently: Bakamono <strike>(Taishō Isami Kondo)</strike>

Konnichiwa honorable commanders.
I have more than one month since my last promotion which was about 2 months ago.
I have made a lot more than thirteen reports in the communication channel, as you can tell commanders.
Command abilities can be seen to be proven in the field in my own reports and other's.
Today I have taken command temporary over the [KNF]Hokan Gunboat. I fought the commander, whom was flying [KNF]IKN-Yugure. And was deemed to pass the gunboat command and combat ability test.
Therefore I ask for the promotion from the Shosa rank to the Chusa rank.
