Bad Pirate Roleplay - Jim283 - 10-25-2011

So I was on my normal trade route, and I was picking up Tourists at Planet Curaco. I launched off and found myself face to face with a liberty rogue. I wont say any names. (My character is Alan) Here is the conversation:
If image doesnt show up, Heres what it says:
Rogue:Halt
Me:I dont have time for this... I have a job to do! (I was roleplaying of course)
Rogue:2mil
Me:I dont have that much (I had about 1.9 million so it was a stretch)

Then we sat there for a few seconds (during that time he kept shooting me to keep my shield down) Then all of a sudden, he fires at me and kills me. Now I am wondering what people think, Bad roleplay, or rule breaking? I probrably wont act, I am just curious to what people think.

I think thats a rule break because he never gave you enough time

I PMed him afterwords and all he said was: "I didn't accept your offer"

Bad Pirate Roleplay - WFCDefi - 10-25-2011

Did he say he didnt accept when you were in space?

Bad Pirate Roleplay - Jim283 - 10-25-2011

Nope, he said "2mil" and I said that I diddnt have that much, then he killed me without warning

It happens, you get the good ones and the bad ones. It was rather bad roleplay in a sense of niceness, and they should atleast give a notice before they blow you up entirely.

At times like these, try to comprimise, especially if you have less than what is requrested. Or you can just ignore them, die, respawn and go on another route. If you don't get anything worth responding to from them, its not really like worth responding back.

But, by the same token, when a pirate does roleplay, and all the trader does is mash the cruise button, it does make their job ridiculously hard. Conversely, the thing you encountered if, that was all they said, is generally refered to a 2milordai pirate.

But yes, this type of encounter is incredibly annoying, but it happens.

Anyone thinking 2milordai lolwut pirate anyway yea i think he rulebroke

Actually it wasn't against the rules. He asked you to pay 2 millions. Therefore that's a demand so you cannot complain. Do not wonder others will not hesitate to kill you if you just say I have no time. You have to have time to RP if you maybe want to get out alive. I voted bad RP. But for both sides. It's just insufficient to say "I have to hurry, no time left to stop". Also from the pirate side but both things are not new. Just keep patient next time and he maybe will not shoot you immediately.

Bad Pirate Roleplay - Jim283 - 10-25-2011

My problem is that he didn't tell me that he didn't like what I said before he killed me

Bad Pirate Roleplay - Jim283 - 10-25-2011

To Lennox: I did say that I didn't have 2 million credits
