Faction Infomation

Basic information:

Name: Xeno Alliance

Faction tags: X-Name-[insert wing initial 'B' for blazer, 'S' for Serpentis]


Background:
The origins of the Xeno movement are found within the populations of miners and laborers of the Colorado and Texas systems, disenfranchised as Libertys economy shifted from one of production towards a system dependant more upon information technology licensing and trade-lane associated monopolies. This shift pushed the laboring classes of Liberty from being the core of her strength, to the peripheries of her society.
The laboring populations of Liberty, now destitute and without means of securing employment were an easy target for an emerging practice: Prisoner Labor. Huntsville prison became the new home for a generation of people who found that their hands could still be put to good use: Wages paid for petty infractions visited upon them by a nation increasingly caught up in its own opulence, increasing dependence upon foreign goods to fuel basic needs and services and an ever growing population of dissident citizens caught in an endless cycle of hard time and hopelessness.
As generations came and went, a radical enclave of dissident prisoners formed the early core of what was to become the Xenos. Focused on settling blame upon the import of cheap foreign goods as being the root cause of the hardship of the Libertonian working class, those that could secure vessels began to prey upon transports moving goods through the California and Colorado systems, taking advantage of bases carved from the asteroids from which that their ancestors had once gleaned a living.
Sponsorship was gained from Universal shipping, to exchange for security of passage and to further their own ends of sabotaging the markets of their competitors, and so the Xenos grew with the construction of two more bases in the borderworlds: Nome, and The Barrow.
With each subsequent captured Xeno returned to Huntsville serving as another voice of the cause, and the youth of Houston and Denver rallying, the numbers of the Xenos continue to swell; outpacing that of their closest rival, the Liberty Rogues, and granting the possibility of a greater edge against the Junkers.
However, this growth was being effectively curbed by a rein of persecution by the morally corrupt LPI which nearly brought an end to the operations within Colorado. The response was a greater emphasis on organization and tactics, with hopes aimed towards gaining additional allies.
Of the three infamous wings, two agreed to a coalition with a cry of:
We are uniting! We shall stand strong! And we shall be victorious!

Organization:
The Xeno Alliance is divided between two wings, each with an individual rank structure.

The Colorado Blazers are charged with the mission of training new pilots and better indoctrinating them to Xeno philosophy and tactics

The Serpentis are comprised of proven pilots whom pilot the true combat vessels and are the main attack and defence wing of the Pact.

Join Criteria and rules:

Join Criteria:
1. Sling a PM towards one of the senior members: Jammi/Fanatic or Zavier/Cobra.

2. Strong RP is mandatory, and a desire to engage in combat sans this attribute will see you stuck in perpetuity within the lowest ranks of the Colorado Blazers until you are deemed suitable for the Xeno Alliance. The Xeno ID is one which is subject to much potential abuse, and well not be party to that.

3. Registration on the Discovery forums is mandatory. Directions to the Xeno forum will be provided pending the acceptance of your application. Register onthe forum with your chosen name, not the callsign.

4. Initial setup will be aided by the Xeno alliance, with funds provided to supply you with a ship suitable to your entry grade.

5. Members of the Colorado Blazers will be named in via their given names with faction tag. For instance: ZNO-'callsign'-B Upon admission into the Serpentis, a name change with a snake call sign will be chosen by the member, for example: X-Copperhead-S

Rules of the Road:
1. Discovery server rules are to be obeyed at all times, there is no excuse for not being aware of these rules. Failure to adhere to the rules will result in instant dismissal

2. All members of the faction must be registered with the forums. Frequent posting to the message dump RP thread, when created, is strongly encouraged.

3. RP is paramount in game. Going in with all guns blazing without a hint of RP to back it up will not be tolerated. Punishment is instant dismissal

4. Your reputation sheet should reflect our diplomacy status. Hobnobbing with those damn dirty Rogues or Hackers will result in being tarred and feathered. Punishment is one week to fix rep sheet, subsequently dismissal.

5. Ship and weapons are to match permitted lists at all times, no excuses. One day to fix, subsequently dismissal.

6. OOC bantering is severely frowned upon. If youre discussing rules, your mothers cooking or which Power Ranger is your favorite and the text isnt green or pink, youre wrong.

7. Real life comes first. This is an internet spaceship game. Its the goal that should you decide to spend your free time playing an internet spaceship game youll have a good time doing so.

Trader policy:

As Xenos one of our primary goals is to boot foregin traders and those that would consort with them out of Liberty and back to the hole from which they came. The way we enforce this ingame is that we will request all of a traders cargo. If they drop it, they live and scurry away as we destroy said cargo in front of them. Those that refuse to drop will feel the full on fury of a bomber! This should encourage people to go explore and stay outa our ZoI, Liberty. You been warned.

Weapons, Ranks and Ship criteria:

Weapons:
Xeno Particle Blasters and Civilian Pulse Shooters are the width and breadth of permitted weaponry available to Xenos of any rank. If youve something mounted that doesnt fit that description perfectly, youre wrong. NOTE: To use anything marked as limited, you must have permission from me or your wing leader.

Code weapons are available to pilots of Bomber class vessels.

Bombers are permitted standard Supernova Antimatter cannon.

Mini Razor cannons are available on a limited basis.


Colorado Blazers [Training wing / baby Xenos]

Ranks:
Wing Commander: This is the leader of the wing, currently Caeon "Fanatic" Lewis and is primarily concerned with organizing the wing, equipping it's pilots and enforcing the clan/wing rules. Has command priority over all members of his wing.

Veteran 'Blazer: These are the Xenos that have passed through 'boot camp' but have returned to aid their younger brethren and maintain a smaller craft. Have command priority over Juves and will take control in the situation the Wing Leader is incapacitated or unavailable.

Juves: These are 'green' Xenos still in their boot camp period. They will follow orders and attempt to survive your trial by fire.

Ranks:
Wing Commander: This is the leader of the Serpentis. The position is currently held by Leo "Cobra" Matthews; inventor of the fast snakelike hit and run attacks that define this wing.

Wing Leader: These men and women are the next highest in command, and serve as the auxiliary voice and mind of the wing. They are permitted recruiting privileges in addition to organizing raids and interdiction sorties. The posts are currently filled by David Copperhead Chambers and Anne Anaconda Taylor.

Ace: Aces are recognized Royals whom have proven their mettle in combat by coming ahead in numerous conflicts with the Xenos countless foes. These are pilots of exceptional talent and well versed in the movement. The current standing ace is Nathan "Coachwhip" Williamson.

Royal: Royals are those Hatchlings whom have risen to prominence amongst their fellows by demonstration of superior commitment and ability.

Hatchlings: Risen from the ranks of the Colorado Blazers, or by direct recruitment, Hatchlings serve as the rank and file of the Serpentis. Working to spread, and enforce, its message.
