I recently saw a post in another forum in which Puck replied and mentioned something about "targeting the enemy's weapons". How does one go about doing that? I have played almost all the way through single player and didnt see anything on how to do that; I probably just missed something. This may be posted in the wrong forum...my apologies to the moderator:unsure:

Actually, everything that will change will be the position of the red cross so you should hit the weapon, not the ship.
I dont use it so I cant tell how effective it actually is.

The bigger ship the more usable that is....
with missiles it works really well.
Mount a Nova torpedo and use it on any NPC capship patrol... you can disarm a destroyer in two shots... BS in 3-4.

any explosive weapon can make quick work of guns actually.
I get stripped of my weapons by bombers I don't know how many annoying time, one shot.

I have never found it useful.
But I only mount guns, and never missiles. Is that why?
I also heard flak dummies weps very well. Why is that?

Against anything under GB it almost doesn't matter... and without missiles/torps it doesn't matter at all.

I popped an npc destroyer turret by accident with a supernova, haven't tried on players though. Shall have to now though! Who knows, I may even be able to kill one of those pesky cap ships if I emasculate them first.
