Common problems I heard about:
-Mod doesn't installs with non-english FL CDs
-Install clears the account-information, so if you haven't back it up, or use Launchpad (or the other one), it might get lost.
It's fine for me. XP and English for the win!

you keep everything if you made the backup of your id, fresh instal means fresh id and you need to activate the old one
