At first I'd like to say that I KUDOS for ammount of work You put on create of 4.86.
but - why You hate small miners so much?
Since there was an change in Mining system (shooted rocks are transfered directly to cargohold)
Small miners in Fighter class mining ships have a bad times.
Basalt - IMHO was some sort disaster...
but
Mafic and Dacite was perfect - sice You could mine without 'back' or 'turret' view
And now we have ships witch not only are useless in mining process but also totally unwieldy.
I do not know who made that projects - they looks nice but IMHO someone forgot about this ships main purpouse.
That should be ships which operate between rocks, asteroids!
not some beauty contest!!
I imagine that probably there is nothing You can do with their looks but for gods sake ad least change that turret to 360' one so You could mine without problems in cocpit view.

always nice to hear "replace the silly homeworld ships" for years - once that is done... the hate is rolling in
anyway - aren t there mining GUNS, too? if not.... my apology, but i was quite sure that there were mining cannons.
apart from that - the shapes are not like they cannot manouver through rocks. - both the dacite and the other one are flat as pencakes - and the mafic - well - lets say its a design experiment

I do not saw any Mining Guns - maybe there are (I have to check)
both Dacite and Mafic are based on ball so IMHO are perfect for maneuvering and spin between rocks.
Jinx I admire Your work, but new ships are looks more like futuristic fighters not mining ships.

I don't see what's the problem?
That on some of them (think only Dacite) turret doesn't fire forward? Is that the whole issue?
(on new maffic/arrastra the turrets do fire forward).

I said that I like that ships, but not as MINING ones - since they are not suitable for mining IMHO.

the issue are here that IMHO (and not only mine it seems)
new mining ships are not suited to its main purpose - MINING.

Screens or video showing that the new models cannot move properly in the mining fields?

according to this there is no mining guns only turrets- transport and fighter ones.
Cool way to ballance it is to put one 360 class 1 turret slot on all of the ships, if someone wants more yeld he would need to put second mining turret on gun slot.

and there is an problem - fighters replaces of Basalt and Dactie have only 1 turret - and that turret can only shot back - in their cases change that turret mount into something what allows to shot in 360' could help a lot.
