In 4.85, we have had an option regarding the viewing distance of objects. Mostly that had effected tradelanes.

From what i saw until now, it is reduced to normal range or so, while the opd option allwed ~ 17k or so.

In my eyes, it looks better with a higher view range, especially when your are zoomed out in turret view.

Is it possible to have it back?

This is something I've been meaning ask about, too. I liked being able to select the farthest view distance in the setup for versions before .86. I'm with Cody here. Any chance we could get some options for that before the full release?

if i understood correctly they want to have it back that static objects are shown on much bigger distance already.

I prefer max range for that as well - makes the systems not look that empty

When you activated .85 in FLMM, you could set the view distance (range in which static objects become visible) to low, medium, or high.

Apparently, some of us also want that option in .86.

The options were low(vanilla), medium(default) and high. Selecting High enabled you to see large bases from across the system.

Ticket has been raised about the view distance and other options.
Not a priority right now but will be done.
